Here's what we do...

Put Spoelstra/Karl as coach of the Bobcats right now. See who does better after a few years.

Putting the farm on Karl.

Dood. The Heat from the past few years have been much more talented than any team Karl had. And now you're gonna go bring up that stupid loss to the Nuggets year... But it's seriously not even close. The current Heat roster is arguably in the top 3 best rosters in the history of the NBA.

Had they lost to the Celtics or Pacers I think Spoelstra was out of a job. That doesn't make him a bad coach, even good coaches get fired (like Stan Van Gundy) but he wouldn't have been able to survive that.

i'm glad I've found 2 new buttbuddies today. Now I'm at 8 for the thread.

Agreed, but I was talking about Spoelstra's first two years before LeBron and Bosh arrived.

Do none of you ****ers realize Spoelstra coached Miami before LeBron and Bosh showed up?

A team starting J. O'Neal, Beasley, and Q Rich up front, even with Wade, is not any more talented than a Carmelo, Camby, Nene, JR Smith led team.

That's when Karl is at his best, just don't ask him to coach a team with high expectations. You won't like the results.

isn't it the coaches job to get talent? lol, ironic considering your whole debate.

To be honest, I didn't. I suppose that makes me uneducated.

Or it just means Spoelstra couldn't do anything memorable without Lebron and Bosh.

I'll go with the latter.

No it's the coaches job to have a winning record and get to the playoffs and no matter your playoff success, if you can just do that, you will be considered a great coach. Keep spinning.

So you're saying if Karl switched places with Spoelstra last year, the Heat wouldn't have won the championship?

You're freaking hilarious. Gawd... Rolling in my chair right now buddy.... Scratch that: falling out of my chair...

LOL yeah and what is your favorite George Karl memory?

so it's riley's fault when you ***** about having no talent, then when he gets you talent, you praise Spoesltra. Pathetic argument.

if Karl was coaching the Heat, they'd be going after a 3-peet right now.

You're somehow getting even worse at trying to make a point. You praise Karl for taking an average team to the playoffs and losing in the first round, shouldn't you do the same for Spoelstra?

Exactly.

CyJackA** tries to make it sound like the 08-10 Heat were total garbage instead of a team that was led by an All-Star scoring leader who would have been MVP if it weren't for some other guy named LeBron James...and Spoelstra still couldn't do **** with them.

If Karl were coaching the Heat they would be losing to the Bucks.

See I can make up hypotheticals too, oh and Karl has experience losing in the first round as 1 seed, doesn't quite have any experience winning championships though.

This is where I disagree. Karl coaching this Heat team would be fun to watch but I don't think the team would be nearly as good defensively with Karl at the helm. Also, Karl's personality doesn't seem like one that goes well with star players.

So what did Karl do that was memorable in Denver with Carmelo? You can knock my argument all you want, but you can't make any argument that supports Karl being better and you realize this which is why you're not trying.
