Figured I better include the "TV Show" part in the title as just Naked and Afraid surely would generate some interesting replies. Anyone here watch this show? I don't watch every episode but I have made a point to watch the XL versions of it as they are a lot more entertaining than the usual 21 day 2 person challenges. I still will watch some of those on occasion but the XL season are so much better.

The new season right now where they started with 4 teams of 3 with 1 planning to do a 60 day challenge and the other two doing a 40 day in the Amazon has been interesting so far. Already had multiple people tap out within the first few days as that environment is just brutal. I really enjoyed the previous XL season where they were in the Louisiana swamps as the weather was starting to turn to winter but as rough as that environment was it looks like a cakewalk compared to the Amazon this season.

I've watched. It's pretty same ol' same ol'. Last year they started making a dating version which I guess was to be expected.

It's bad/good TV.

Been trying to talk my wife into doing it with me but so far its a no go. She would maybe last 2 hours max. I think I could last the 21 days.

I watch it and wonder how long I could last. I'm thinking it would be a big success if I could make it to day 3. My idea of survival is getting by without internet access.

The best part of the show is when the two people meet for the first time. Talk about awkward.

Not sure how long I'd last 'when the lights come on' but I think I could handle just about everything except for biting insects.

I might last 4-5 days if the list of things you could bring along included sun screen, bug spray, toilet paper, beer nuts, diet mountain dew, ice machine, hammock, cell phone with Cyclone Fanatic (premium subscription), and big screen TV with satellite service.

If you had to choose between beer nuts and CF, what would it be?

I don't understand why they have to be naked? The show is pretty dumb to begin with, but why the nudity? Now they're dating? Yikes.

Yeah I grew up on a farm so nature and the elements don't bother me but its never as easy as you think it looks on TV. Was sitting out in the cold and light rain the other week when it was around 5 and was cold after an hour so I can imagine without clothes that if you had to sit in cold wet rain with only a makeshift shelter fire to stay dry and warm it would eventually wear on you. The bugs eating you up at night would be the worst, you already are tired and low on calories and not being able to sleep would suck. Most of the people that do that show already have some prior survival experience, the XL seasons some of them have already done multiple challenges and still have to tap out so yeah I doubt I could make 21 days, especially in some of the more harsh environments.
