Nader arrested for OWI?

Can we have a moratorium on posts in this thread for an hour or so . . . to celebrate the BDJ news!

Was he actually driving or not? You can actually get an DUI or OWI if you are in the driver's seat and the car is running, but you aren't actually moving. That happened to my brother actually. Kind of an intent to drive while intoxicated. Either way bad, but yeah.

Well that's stupid - I mean it is in general even if he was just sitting in the driver's seat, but yeah. I know it's college and all, but you have to have more control. If you are a talented guy like that, you have to say "Okay, if I just stay out of trouble then I could maybe make it to the NBA?"

I know he's suspended indefinitely and I think at the worst he'll be suspended for like 5 or 6 games, but it's amazing how many players in college basketball and football have basically ****ed their chances at being a pro by doing something really dumb like this.

Thing is, I see enough nonsensical, bizarre, and just plain stupid posts on here That if there isn't a jimlad I take it at face value.
 
If there's one weekend to not drink and drive it would be this weekend. The dude should know better. Not condoning it's right to do the other 51 weeks of the year, but use some common sense. Don't know what his blood alcohol content was however.

I was paranoid about it EVERY weekend in Ames. Cops swarm the campustown and nearby areas. Especially on weekends. The Ames cab service completely sucked when i was there. And likely still does from what i hear. Luckily i lived within walking distance of the bars when i was in school.
 
Well, at least the Nader news came before the BDJ and Williams news. I'd rather bad news before good than the other way around.
