Mouth Breathing

used to have a job making sports instructional videos. One of them we did was with Bruce Weber, back when he was at Southern Illinois. I'll preface this by saying that Bruce is an incredibly nice, approachable, and down to earth guy. So many coaches aren't, but he's one of nice ones. That said, I think he has a magic ability to induce narcolepsy in people who are in close proximity to him, even himself. I swear to god, the man fell asleep in the middle of his shoot, multiple times. He'd have these really long, awkward pauses, where he'd close his eyes and be just silent. Difficult to watch.
 
he was doing a lot of mouth breathing, especially after they explained to him that there was really 6 seconds left in the game and not 12.

But I think he is going to keep KSU pretty competitive in the Big 12, he's done a pretty good job so far.
 
Yeah, I've heard nothing but good things about him as a person and coach. I know a lot of K-Stater's and they were kinda "blah" about the hire and still kind of are (but then again, they were used to Wildman Martin). We'll see how he does with recruiting, etc to really see....they have a nice new training facility that should help with that, too.
 
Also, this thread got me thinking, did other fan bases during CFH's rookie campaign start threads that said, "Is it me, or is Fred Hoiberg dreamy?" If i had more time I'd go do some digging/trolling. :jimlad:

It will be interesting to see where he has KSU in a few years, what kind of recruits he will bring in.
 
It's a habit you are forced to develop once you move to Manhattan because of the smell.

In all seriousness though, I've heard the same about Bruce. One of the good guys of college basketball.

It was quite apparent at that particular moment for sure.
