Motivator vs Head Coach...

My gut says at ISU, much like K state, we need an X's and O's can who is versatile( not married to one system) and can be proactive with scheme based on the skill position guys we consistently recruit.

does the OP's position suggest they weren't motivated the second half?

No the OP's position is that we have a head coach that doesn't know what down it is last week and fails to take a knee this week (twice) (easy strategic decisions). We have a head coach that is on his 4th OC in 7 yrs. We have a head coach who is being outcoached and not making or responding to in-game adjustments. We have a head coach that is a passionate motivator and does a good "YouTube" but appears to be lacking the X & O coaching ability, organizational ability, and hiring ability to maximize the talent on this football team. Which all adds up to a head coach who on years 5,6, and 7 goes 3-9, 2-10, and 3-9. Gimme a break - where else but ISU is there actually discussion about retaining this staff??? Seriously!

I'm sick of getting kicked in the nuts. Leath should just clean the whole crew out and retool if JP doesn't fire CPR.

McCarney and Rhoads = Motivator
Chizik = neither

Discredit Chizik all you want, but he's won a national championship as both a coordinator and as a head coach. He's also been instrumental in North Carolina's amazing run this season. It can easily be argued that he's had a more successful coaching career than both Mac and Rhoads combined.
