ESPN’s Insider Jeff Goodman’s College Hoops Dream Team for 2015-2016
Stipulations for picking team:

  • Team can’t have more than one player per school
  • Team must have at least two players who hail from legitimate low or mid-major leagues.
  • A coach.

Starters: Bench:
F: Georges Niang, ISU F: Denzel Valentine
Coach: Tony Bennett, Virginia
One of the comments from Jeff about his choice of coach: “Bennett will make sure these guys defend (yes, even you Niang!) and he also has the ideal, even-keeled temperament.”

Hate to start a thread for an FYI, but George deserves the kudos.

Thanks for posting. I saw his picture in the graphic of this and wondered what the info said.

your welcome. for some reason the spaces didn't hold and I didn't have any luck fixing it, so, please read the first five names on the left as the starters and all the rest as the bench.

Niang and Goodman have become close friends throughout his college career. They always tweet at eachother. Nonetheless Georges is more than deserving for all of these honors.

Seriously... not supposed to do it.

What's the deal with CF coupons? I always hear people talking about them, but I never see any information about what they are and how to get them.

Georges isn't the greatest defender in the world but he deserves a little more credit than TMZSPN analysts give him.

(ie broken up alley-oop against KU in KC, game winning block on Phil Forte)

Thanks - we did just a few minutes ago edit the original post for just this reason. We appreciate you watching out for us!

Side note: ever since ESPN went to their new format, I'm having trouble with slow loading pages on their site, or pages that don't load at all...they freeze mid-load. I have a log-in, but I'm not an "insider". I use Firefox as a browser. This is happening on my work computer and my home desktop.

Anyone else having this issue? It's so bad I've had to go to CBS (gag) for scores...

Same here. The new site is terrible. And same, I've been going to CBS LOL.

Assuming that since Goodman and Georges are friends Goodman is just jabbing Georges a little bit. Surely, Goodman knows Georges is not a poor defender he is just trying to stay out of foul trouble.

Yup. I've tried ESPN with about 4 different browsers and all have the same slow result. The WatchESPN app, however, still works slick.

His last game at Hilton is actually Monday, February 29th and my eyes water every time I even think about it.:sad::sad:

If it wasn't a leap year, that would be March 1st. :)

But yes...Georges is a joy to watch, he's got a lot of spirit, and he's a wonderful ambassador for ISU. I will miss seeing him on the court...and will always appreciate the fact that he took the time to sign a t-shirt for this old gal after senior night last year.

You must be very proud of him. :)
