Moving soon and plan on mounting all of my TV's. Got pointed towards Monoprice.com for Mounts and HDMI cables but I don't know anyone who has used it before. Little cautious since the price seems too good to be true.

I will say, since the mods have apparently ignored my request for thread closure, that if you have Amazon Prime you can get similar or maybe even better deals sometimes when you figure in the shipping from Monoprice. But Monoprice is a-ok as far as a reputable place to buy from.

It's legit. These are the guys who saved the world from $100 Monster cables.

I have two 50"s on the wall at home. Both use ~$25 Monoprice wall mounts and both have been on the wall for a few years now.

well that seems pretty definitive, will save me a ton. I wonder how they afford price them at 50% of what some other places are.

The real question to ask is why do the other places mark up the price so much? Cables are a huge profit margin for many stores.

They make all their cables themselves. The margins are still great for them though I'm sure.

I think Monoprice cables are better than those Amazon Basic cables.

Another vote for Monoprice. I've used them many times over the years. They've got pretty good stuff and usually really good prices.

Monoprice called China and skipped the middle man, that's why the prices are so low. I've used them several times, all reliable products so far.

I've always bought cables from them but I've also bought a mount from them that could probably support 500lbs.

The bigger question is what kind of mount. I put in a mount that allows you to move it out about 2 feet for easy access.

Monoprice works R&D with the manufacturers, sources direct (think China), and sells from their website (no retail middle-man). It's an efficient model, but their margins are thin and they've struggled to move beyond cables and accessories.

I work in the AV department and we use Monoprice HDMI for all of our conference rooms - over 200 rooms

Failure rate is like 1 cable out of 100 and Monoprice is offering lifetime support for their cables.

I'd be surprised if they made their cables in house? Seems like that'd be more expensive.
