Here's an interesting aerial shot of CWF, taken sometime in the 1961-65 time period. The upper deck expansion is apparent on the east stands, with the new pressbox on the west side. End zone and west side track bleachers are also visible. I think capacity was now around 24,000. Photo was likely taken in late October or early November, due to length of shadows and bare trees.

Had to be before 1963, as Helser is not completed. Probably a Nebraska game, as they were the only ones to sell out.

I'm guessing 1961. They added the upper deck endzone in 1966 which brought up the capacity to around 35,000.

Hilarious KU kept the track around their field until only a few years ago.
