Minute Splits

You guys can take this as a joke now with your Spider-Man shennanigans, but nobody is going to be laughing when we get knocked out playing the wrong players.

You may not know this about the big tournament, but we're all getting knocked out of that thing. Only one team emerges somewhat unscathed, and that's the lucky escapee that gets a title for their trouble.

I wonder if the OP has to wait until the final four to gloat about ISU getting knocked out of the dance if he will even bother to post an I-told-you-so.

Now I know that anytime I feel like I've posted some stupid things on CycloneFanatic, all I have to do to feel better is to open this thread.

Thomas doesn't bring a defensive presence, rebounding, ball handler, or energy guy approach when he plays. Because of that if he's not hitting shots he's basically a non factor in the court. BDJ bring just about all those things and is still shooting better than him from deep so he should play more. As much as Thomas makes me want to pull my hair out, saying that a guy that has zero real minutes this year should play over him, is absolutely absurd.

I also think it's funny you have Jackson above Custer as well. Care to explain that one?

Well if you look at Kourtlin's stats from the 26 minutes he played during garbage time in the non-conference slate then you would see that his .500 FG shooting percentage is far better than Custer's .200.

Clearly Kourtlin is the better shooter. He's got the 5th best shooting percentage on the TEAM!

Eh, not really. Even if he's not hitting, teams still guard him closely, opening up the lane. I'd say his defense and rebounding has improved a lot over the past few weeks, and he's developed a pretty decent mid-range game as well, which helps keep defenders honest.

Thomas is spacing the floor every time he's out there.. He always has focus on him from his defender whether he's 2-2 from 3 or 0-4

Thomas can dribble the ball very well. Those saying he can't probably didn't watch the game @WVU. Monte got into foul trouble and Thomas brought the ball up most of the time and was able to break that full court press and the double teams fairly well.

67 of the 68 teams that are in the NCAA tournament will be knocked out. I guess those 67 coaches will have all played the wrong players.
