Sounds super fun to lug my toddlers in and out of. Even better if they're still in the infant seat.
If you want a truck, get a truck. Vans are perfect for those who don't give such a damn about what others think. Haul kids better, haul most parental life things better too.
Trucks are nice for truck things, I'd like one once or twice a year to haul what wont fit in my van. The rest of the time its not close. I have 3 boys who don't have to sit side by side by side and I can actually haul one friend each. Show me a truck that'll do that.

LOL. I just imagine all the city dudes that drive trucks for no reason other than to compensate or look cool trying to make sense of what you just wrote.
Stigma or what is the hold up on a van? Outside of AWD (extremely valid for rural and HEAVY snow state drivers). You are spending more and getting less in almost every comparable category.
Both vehicles are fine. It just depends on your own personal needs and lifestyle. Buy what you like best, after all it is your money, so you want to be happy with your purchase.
I have a pickup now, because it's far more practical for me. My inlaws have a cabin in northern MN, so a truck is better for me to haul things to and fro. It's also easier for me to drive on and off the lakes during ice fishing season.

The new Siennas are only hybrid, but a hybrid isn't an EV. It's like a Prius where the vehicle is just has better fuel economy. EPA says it's 36 MPG for both city and highway on new Siennas whereas it used to be like 28/21 or something like that.
Enjoy driving right next to other mini van oblivious to the fact that others are trying to use the fast lane and you are driving next to another mini van doing the same speed.
oh i dont disagree-- very practical but i cant get over the look of them. hell- vans are 40K nowa days anyway.
ill go with the awd and 7/8 seat SUV.
Another parent at our daycare drives a lifted Ram. Leaves it running while he goes in and out (I guess it’s hazardous to stop and start the engine too quickly?). Doesn’t look ridiculous or impractical at all as he climbs up the steps to remove his infant from the car seat….
My top 3 was Odyssey, then Telluride, then Atlas. Hopefully you have considered the Telluride if you are against the more practical route of vans

Winter driving, meh, minivans are money in the winter I have never ever seen one a ditch ever, see trucks all the time, because truck owners are over confident.
Just call a big city dealer, you will get MSRP on a factory order.
