Minivan question

I kid, minivan drivers. It's just annoying when you see one zipping in and out of lanes, and the 5 minutes later see another one going 55 in the left lane on 35

More annoying than when other people driving other types of cars to the exact same thing? So much more annoying, in fact, that it deserves a thread on Cyclone Fanatic?

Minivans pale in comparison to combine season... fact

At times i can be a worse driver with my 1 kid in the back seat of my truck. If you have enough kids to warrant a minivan. I cant imagine 3 or 4 kids fighting in the back seat.

I had just merged from 435 onto I70 and the traffic was all backed up in the left lane. Made my way over to the right lane and got moving at a decent rate to see an old guy driving a Porsche about 55 mph that was causing the backup

Is being a terrible driver a requirement to drive a minivan? I've always wondered this

I hate minivans and the way they're driven. Drivers can't seem to find their turn signals, or find the headlight switch at dusk. Plus they're beside you at a corner stop and you can't see around those albatrosses......

They're unsafe...get t-boned and certain serious injuries. False sense of security

Plus they're ugly as h#ll

On the flip side---I drove a few retired men to Ames for the tornado game vs CU in 2005 and had a blast. (My dad's friends)

The driver had this Toyota Sienna and asked me to drive them. I enjoyed driving that van very much. Very comfy

lol:spinny:

No. There is nothing more annoying than Minivans and their drivers.

none. nada.

And it is a well-deserved reason to start a thread. I thank the OP.

I love all the SUV mums/Dads that are either texting while driving, spun out in the winter because the have the right to go 75 on ice with AWD 20'' tires. AND they are the first to love to call out MiniVan Drivers because they are in their 20s with no kids or only have 1-2 kids. If you have only 1-2 kids then you need to shut your mouth :) I have 3 sisters that swear they would never own a minivan and guess what....now they all do! because it makes fricking makes sense. I was looking at an SUV 1 year ago and it just doesn't work for my family.

I know several cops in the central IA region and they can't stand SUV drivers. They call them...."wow... I wish I could have went home on time tonight to see my kids, but I suppose I have to stop and risk my life for this bimbo couple that was driving 70mph in a blizzard in a AWD Dodge Durango" At least they were driving an SUV though..
God forbid they were driving an AWD Minivan with 3 kids with 2 video screens and a hot spot. And that husband would have gotten made fun of big time..Tragic..

Why on earth would anyone want more than 1-2 kids?

Newsflash to minivan drivers, you legally have to stop at stop signs when exiting the fairgrounds. Second, the people going on Dean Avenue dont have to yield to you. Third, dont flip the person off who was 100% legally in the right. Fourth, dont try to run said person off the road in your POS Caravan three blocks later. You know, the kind with AC provided by the metal that has fallen off due to rust. This is even out of the ordinary bad for the East side of Des Moines.

Normally I would say SUV drivers with South Dakota platers were the morons but not today.

Don't make me pull up DOT stats :) I did this a long time ago and MiniVan drivers where by far the biggest morons.
I say this while driving a 2013 Sonata SE. My wife drives a 2014 TC Limited MV.
Mattmann22. Sounds like you spend a lot of time in rough neighborhoods. Maybe you should get out of PH and East DSM? You would never see any other Nasty Car or SUVs in your neighborhood right? Just Minivans...
