I wonder if some SEC schools had already made contact with Lunt and helped lead to his departure. If that is the case, then Gundy is just issuing some rough justice.

There has to be something to this. It's no coincidence that the conference that's known for shady to illegal recruiting practices is the one restricted. I wouldn't doubt that there's been some rumblings about schools helping him make this decision. It's no different than Wesley Johnson. When there was talk about Kentucky steering him towards a transfer, everyone here wanted UK to be on that restriction list.

That is a really interesting idea. But if true, I would rather see Gundy go after the SEC in some other way - not by telling a kid where he can or cannot go to play.
