Mike Gesell to Iowa

Good for Iowa, they certainly could use some good news. While I think its been clear for some time that he does not fit what Coach Fred was looking for he should be a solid player. For some reason I don't hold much ill will towards Iowa basketball, as they have fallen on as hard of times as we have the last few years. Good get and I hope he has an alright career.

ISU and Iowa have been AWOL the last few years in terms of having good basketball programs. When the Cyclones and Hawkeyes put good teams on the floor it's a positive for the state of Iowa.

LOL. I'll root for the Iowa BBall team to improve the day I hear Iowa fans wishing that the ISU football program starts winning to "make the rivalry mean something" because it is "good for the state." They keep wishing the ISU to the MVC would happen and I'm going to keep hoping their bball program resembles a HS tryout.

Here you go! I hope you guys get where you need to go! Check my posts on here and you will know I am sincere! Most of you have it right. I think both teams in good bowls and in March Madness is awesome! I just love it when things work out like that! Thinking about taking my son to a Hawkeye and Cyclone football game this year! Yes we will be wearing the correct colors to both games!

I've gone on the record several times here saying just that. I believe I said something to that effect in one of the Barkley Hill threads.
 
Huge get for Iowa. If Fran can pull Woodbury too Iowa will have a real nice class coming in.

woodbury has a lot of legit offers, including UNC. no way he ends up in IC
