I feel for the good Hawks in my family and friends. Great season and awesome game. But most of me is happy this game went this way.

Thank god almighty. That iowa D I admit played one hell of a game. Mich St dominated that second half though and deserved to win. Iowa didn't reach msu territory entire second half!!! Watch the committee...the big ten committee say well iowa is for real and let's put them ahead of OU cause their one loss is better than OU one loss

First genuine top 15 team they played, and they lost. That too with MSU's QB pretty much injured. This Iowa team played with a lot of heart all season, and they did about the best they could. But they are not a top 10 team.

I preferred them to lose this way over a blow out. Now for years they're going to be haunted by that "what if" that we so often seem to happen. (Elite 8, Georges broken foot, etc.)

No, a blowout would have been even better. It would have proved even more than EIU didn't belong in the game.

Wonder if Keith Murphy will talk about how Iowa was DOMINATED by MSU in the second half, like he repeatedly has said Iowa DOMINATED us in the second half of our game. I somehow doubt it.
