MESS named OC

Guy cant call plays or put a game plan together. We have decent talent no way we needed to get beat like this and the offence is the first to blame.

In the Texas Tech game our offense moved the ball in chunks when there were 3 backs with Richardson. That happened for 1 series and then he went to 1 or 2 backs back there with him. That just shows he doesn't know how to change his game plan. That is if he has one made up.

Messingham's time as OC has been a failure.

Time to make a change. Putrid offense last night. We might as well kick on second down after our one yard run. Let Kirby set some records.

Seriously, we are the worst team in a downtrodden B12 this year. Not sure if experience will get us to 7-8 wins in the next two-three years.

I think I made a comment back when he was name OC that my brother in law that is a high school football coach called me after having mess stop by for a visit and just from talking to him he said he was an Arrogant jerk and what they talked about football wise he said his whole theory really sucked on how to run and offense. He could tell back then we were going to be in trouble and he only coaches high school kids.

I feel like he's up just playing NCAA 14 and just picking random plays with no rhyme or reason.....The one play he seems enamored with, is Shontrelle up the middle....it makes 0 sense....

Thanks for sharing that maybe that is why Herman left because he couldn't stand the guy. If we had a decent offense I guarantee the defense would miraculously start playing better. Rhoads ought to be ashamed with hiring him; being able to read people is a trait a leader must absolutely have. I am perfectly fine with the program going down in flames if rhoads isn't sharp enough to right the ship.

I guess your point is that if Rhoads can't right the ship that he should go down with it?

one of the best DC in the country at the time he came here...this has been the hire that is really helping Rhodes right now.great post, some people don't look at how they did at other stops prior to this.sadly he can, and that has we very worried about this...no Division 1 experience is troubling...plus he didn't do that good at his stops prior to ISU either.I agreed until this part..our passing game has gotten worse since you were with McFarland so I don't buy this..you were in the program so I'll trust you a bit more than others.same concerns here, this feels like the Hoiberg hire...gonna be a great hire or a horrible one..time will tell
fun thread to look back on.

Mess is awful, the team looks completely lost out there.

Sorry if CPR can't make a change then isu needs to look for a new leader. There is too much money spent in this program to watch a 64 point beat down

ah I guess; I think he deserves to go down with it and I have accepted we are now a minimum of 1.5 years to get a decent offense even if mess was fired today no matter the hire; not sure people realize how far down the rabbit hole we have fell. I am completely convinced that rhoads has no idea how to engineer a practice format correctly. The team has came out flat every game this year. The offense has no grit and that comes from not practicing correctly. Working harder is not the answer; efficiency; production; systems are the name of the game in business not sure why football was is any different. I am fine with 10$ tickets the rest of this year and next I will probably start going to games again; we are officially back to the macarney era.

While I agree with the sentiment, I suspect that we're still spending a pretty small amount on football relative to other BCS teams and we always will.
