McKnight Transferring

Seems strange it didn't work. He had so many good offers. He will likely thrive in the mid majors.

Good luck to him. He seemed like a good kid. Never pouted on the bench of anything.

The meltdown will be epic when it's announced that this scholly is going to Bubu.

While I would probably disagree with that decision, it wouldn't make me loose sleep at night, and I highly doubt there would be much of a meltdown, none the less an epic meltdown.

sweet, honestly hope he's the only one we will see, should make this offseason a little more interesting to see what we do with the scholly

Good luck to him. I thought it was admirable that when he couldn't get on the floor this season he kept his mouth shut and played the part of the good soldier....not always an easy feat for someone who's used to being a star at the HS level.

This is a good reminder as to why it's not really worth getting worked up over a recruiting class until they've been through a couple seasons in the program. Some guys pan out, some don't. And you'll get some surprises. Nobody saw this kind of campaign coming from Godfrey, or McKnight's lack of impact.

Even though McKnight didn't pan out for ISU, he did this in the best way... No pouting (that we know of), didn't quit on his team, waited to the offseason to make the decision.

He is a good kid and i respect him for the way he went about this

The reason Karron Johnson was even mentioned for ISU was because he was friends with McKnight. I'm guessing that is out the window.

Good luck to Eric, who has handled his situation with a lot of class. I'm sure Fred will help him find a program where he will get more pt to help him develop.

Offers that he reported in an interview are not necessarily real offers. I read an interview with him where he said he didn't have all of those offers, at least not in a form where he could have committed to the school.

It's not going to Bubu. It's pretty clear, he is not a Big 12 player

He played a lot of solid minutes, and didn't commit too many errors. He seems to know what he is doing against Big 12 competition. So, I'm not sure what your standards are for a "Big 12 player". But, I wouldn't mind if they gave him a thank you scholarship for the minutes he has put in.

I always thought children of faculty members got free tuition. Does Bubu get any assistance with his dad working for the university?
Sorry to hear about Mcknight. Hope he finds a good fit somewhere else.

Maybe iowa could pick him up... McKnight's way better than the Georgia high school recruit thats committing to iowa today. Have you seen the video of that kid?

i believe this is a myth. I remember when the HB saga was going on this came up and people thought he might come here and not take a scholarship.

Not at public institutions. Creighton has something like that but not ISU.
