If we don't make the NCAA tourney this year would you want McDermott to come back?

I get upset more then anyone when we lose, but McDermott is our coach, and we need to stand behind him, win or lose, he wants to be here, and he will get us winning, just give him a little more time

Good question.

A better one to ask is are we on the way up, or the way down. Don't ask me, because I don't know.

On the way up, they have lost tonight but the were fighting the entire game, something that wouldn't have happened two years ago.

Are we better today than the day he took over?

Well when he took over we had just completed a 16-14 season and then at least 5 of those players with eligibility (and our two best players) decided to leave. He started with maybe 3 guys on scholarship. So, yes I would say we are better right now. We are 12-6 with at least 14 games left.

Good points, I think with Blaylock and Stinson along with Taggart (who all left because of Mac and all of which will or have played in the NBA) we were a little better, especially with the fundamentals, rebounding, free-throw shooting. I was thinking about this whole Lucca thing last night. I can count 6 guys Mac has lost that have or will play in the NBA: Johnson, Taggart, Blaylock, Lucca (Germany), Mike Taylor, and Stinson will get his shot soon.

How is it easier to recurit at Baylor, I think it would be harder.

Do you realize how many good recruits there are in Texas, along with the rest of the south, kids a lot of times make their descision based on warmer weather and bigger metro areas. Ames is a tough sell to top notch recruits, especially right now.

Did you forget about all the other schools in that state. Baylor has to be one of the last choices for these kids.

This is our year to make the tournament. Brackins and Gilstrap won't be back. If mac doesn't work things out with Colvin, he will leave. Garret can't do much. What will we have? Rebuilding.

So, Curtis, Will and Taggart left becuase of Mac?? That is great to hear - since they were gone no matter who we hired. As long as WM wasn't around they were gone - and no so sure they weren't gone anyway.

And as long as you are spinning, please tell me when Stinson and Taggart played in the NBA. I'll give you Blalock (for one season) barely, but didn't know Germany had an NBA team. But however you want to sell it.
