McDermott confirms that Hamilton and Buckley will transfer

Its obvious Gmac needs to go...

Who would be some potential replacements?
Im glad I am in Chicago and don't have to hear about this in the news, yet I still subject my self to the pain via the internet!

Excuse me for a second...
:arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh:

The player turnover during Gmac's tenure is beyond ridiculous. Combine that with his dismal record and the fact that we are really back to square 1 in needing to rebuild the program now, and it is time for him to go if we can afford it. If the rumor from the other thread is true that Bergstrom offered to buy out the contract, then Pollard should jump at the opportunity. We really have nothing to lose, as the program is already close to rock bottom.

This transfer problem is out of control. JP, make the decision that has to be made and get it over with.

Re: I Have Decided to Transfer

Hello Cyclone Fanatics,

I come here today with some bittersweet news. For the past couple of months, I have been contemplating the possibility of transferring to a school closer to home. With a heavy heart, I have come to the decision that it is in my best interest and the interest of my family that I attend a university where I can frequently visit family and friends and consistently receive delicious treats from my grandmother.

This is a bittersweet moment. I have enjoyed my time here as Iowa State. Greg McDermott has helped me grow as a student and an individual. From him, I understand that no team I root for will ever be successful, and I will stop following sports entirely to hopefully live a longer and more enjoyable life.

Although I know many of you will be sad, I am optimistic and excited to see what the future holds for me at my new school. I thank all of you for your support, and hope to continue to receive your support and well wishes in the future.

Peace, I'm out.

Thanks Justin, we wish you well in the future.

Hey mac way to go! WE ARE GOING TO BE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BADDDDD NEXTTTT YEARRRRRRRR. We may have a worst record than iowa did this year. Its going to be pathetic. Im ready to hear Dendy and Colvin to transfer now. Also, way to go pollard maybeeeee you should have waited till the end of the season to see who is transfering and what not. I hope hilton looks half *** with attendance next year, its pathetic.

If he did resign I think the coaching search starts and ends with Cuonzo Martin at Missouri State. That would be my hope anyway.

You want to know how sad the state of this program is? When I heard this news I just laughed. I was not suprised, upset or any other emotion. This has turned into a farce, just pure comedy. Greg McDermott has turned this program into a continually looping 3 Stooges bit.

You want to know just how ridiculous a situation this program is in right now?

You know how everybody is always ******** about what terrible shape Morgan left the program, and how the cupboard was bare when GMac took over? Well, with these 2 transfers now, and MG and CB leaving.....GMac will now have fewer players returning next year then what he inherited from Morgan! LMAO! How is that for progress?

:biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:

I have to laugh so I don't start crying at what has become of the ISU MBB program.

My wife just called from work at St. Lukes Hospital here in CR. There is a jumper on the parkade. It's just another transfer!! It's not worth it!
