I do think there's a higher percentage of fans that want Rhoads gone compared to those that wanted McCarney gone. Rhoads might have fallen even lower than McDermott in approval ratings.

Shouldn't playing more conference games give him a chance to get more conference wins? You'd think there was a better chance of picking up one conference win when you play 9 games rather than 8.

Macs speeches were just as good if not better. His just weren't put on social media and viewed by everyone.

McCarney and Rhoads are pretty much the same in my opinion.

I do find it interesting what our memory of McCarney is though. Some say great recruiter, horrible coach. Others say mediocre recruiter, but excellent coach. I'm more in the latter group. His recruiting wasn't great, but he could really "coach 'em up". But his game day coaching was not good. Ferentz level.
