MBB Schedule Released

This is the best schedule that we've had since I can remember. What a great mix of teams to play in non-conference with just a few cupcakes to roll over. And the conference schedule sets us up for a nice run towards the end of the season. Can't wait!

I will agree that I wish we played Michigan in December, but anything can happen that early in the season and they may overlook us then get surprised in Hilton. At least that's what I'm hoping for.
 
This year we have 6 games on ESPN/ESPN2, 6 games on ESPNU(2 are non-con), and 7 games on Big 12 Network. Last year we have 4 games on ESPN/ESPN2, 6 games on ESPNU, and 8 games on Big 12 Network. Just for reference.

Say we play them our 9th or 10th game instead of our 3rd game. It could be a completely different game because our team would have that much more experience/chemistry.

Michigan lost their two best players. They are more experienced than us but I wouldn't go out and say they are full of experienced veterans. 2 of our starters are going to be seniors and we return Niang...I do agree I wish we played them later on though but not much you can do.
 
I sure wish we'd get rid of Michigan and replace them with Alcorn State.

You are right. 11 out of their 13 players are FR or SO. They have some excellent, experienced sophormores, but I wouldn't say they are a veteran team either. They are young and playing on the road early in the season so I think it will be a competitive ball game.
 
Agree. I wish we played Michigan in early January or December just before the students go on break. Still, Hilton Magic has produced crazier results:-)
 
If we can get Michigan (thank god it is in Hilton) it would give us a lot of early recognition, something we have never gotten with Fred.

I'm always a little conflicted during that game, I like having all the in-state schools play each other but if Iowa State's not going to play one, I'm glad it's Drake.
