MBB Recruiting Info

He'd really help ease the transition and growth period our other guards are going to need. Other schools appear to be coming after him but I'm hopeful that he sees what he could do at Iowa State.

Diante has seemed to step it up as of late. If he can continue playing the way he's playing the rest of the season and if Wesley can ever get healthy this team could suprise some people. ISU could be pretty stacked at guard next year if they get Appleton.

We still need a juco big BADLY imho for next year.

I'm with you, i'd much rather see a JUCO big man, that will be able to replace Jiri next year and transition to Dykstra and Anderson(i hope) ....Our guards will have a full big 12 season under their belts and thats will make them into big time players is the experience - take the lumps and grow. Besides, just because your a lights out JUCO guard, does that mean your going to transition to the speed and talent of the Big 12...not worth the risk...I think the post is easier to predict because you remove the vast majority of the ball handling....Can they rebound, defend and score in that order.

How bout this kid....Had to put him in there with his jersey shown in his pics......natural fit....

Scout.com: Jamie Vanderbeken Profile

Originally had signed with Iowa out of HS, but was recruited by Butler, California, Illinois, Minnesota, Purdue, Syracuse, UCLA and USC....not too bad was 6-9 250 out of HS so he should be 6-10 or 6-11 and 265-270.....good fit to Macs system....

Vanderbekken is an Alford commit...'nuf said. Plus he's a big that wants to play a perimeter game. Not what we need.

I don't know why, but, i always think of Holman, WI when i'm thinking about him,,,,mainly because i lived in LaCrosse at the time, but, not an excuse, merely stupidity.....
