Matt Thomas Should Be Starting Over Naz!

I hope it's all up from here for Matt. The KSU game was a breakout game, obviously, but so happy for him to come out and have another good game. Hopefully, this is all confidence he needs going forward. I'm liking the more designed catch-shoot plays that are being called for him.

I didn't see a point to all of the Thomas sucks threads either, but two wrongs don't make a right. Let's quit beating on our players no matter who they are.

I've never seen a Thomas sucks thread. It's amazing how butthurt stupid people get and change the truth.

I've seen threads saying Thomas is passing up shots, and that we should start someone who's playing better. Obviously Fred agreed since he did exactly what we thought he should.

But no one has EVER doubted that he would be very good eventually, *******.

Arguing over who should start is a pretty pointless exercise. The only thing that matters is playing time. Lately it's been Morris, Thomas, then Naz. Thomas seems much more comfortable coming off the bench and Morris is getting most of the PT anyway. This ain't Fred's first rodeo.

The problem here seems to be that both Naz and Thomas have done their best work coming off of the bench. Naz was lighting it up off the bench early in the season as Thomas was struggling. When Hoiberg made the switch, Thomas seemed to get more comfortable and find his shot, but Naz has all but disappeared.

It may have been a bit of a tongue in cheek suggestion, but maybe you do start SDW and bring both of them off the bench. They could still play starter level minutes. It is crazy enough that it might just work.

What I'm getting sick of hearing is all of this "so and so is better off the bench, we need so and so's spark off the bench, or so and so is more comfortable coming when not starting. Give me a break, people. A goal that each one of Naz, MM, and MT most probably has is to be a starter on this team. None of them are coveting the 6th man spot.

This year, who starts is ABSOLUTELY important. Last year, it wasn't as much. Minutes are ultimately what is most important.

But how many times THIS YEAR have we had a slow start to a game, or a slow start coming out of halftime? Momentum is huge in college basketball. Why wait to put our best lineup on the floor 5 minutes into the half, when we could get that good production from the start?

I've never cared much about starting lineups. You just give the most minutes to your best players. Especially late in close games.

I would normally agree but this team grabs it's ankles at the start of each half, every game, and the opposing team has their way with us until monte comes in. If he doesn't start on Saturday I'm sending a sternly worded email to pollard.

Obviously joking but only slightly.

And I've seen disparaging things about him in pretty much everyone of those threads. I don't think disparaging any of our players is productive, hence my comments about this thread. They all pretty much end up the same.

I find it funny that you didn't think that your old standby of calling anyone who disagrees with your position "butthurt" and "stupid" sufficient. You were so insecure that you had to result to further namecalling.

Your attitude is ridiculous.

After looking at the box score, MM played 35 minutes, more than anyone else besides Georges. So he came in after two minutes in the first half and played until halftime and then came in after three minutes in the second half and played the rest of the game? Wow
Can someone show us how the scoring went while MM was in the game? Probably favors ISU.

I think it might be interesting considering KU started hot both halves while MM was on the bench.

Yes, I know, there are other factors, but still might be interesting.
