Due to location Baylor shouldn’t be down long and will have good recruiting classes, with or without Rhule.

I think that Indy is in the middle of finding a 2-3 year sacrificial lamb who might be able to develop young talent. They are going to suck, stockpile the draft picks, and then when they get enough talent, fire the poor sap and bring in a real coach with a chance to actually do something. It kills me as a Colts fan to say it, but the Colts are looking at trying their best to be worse than the Browns.
And waste three prime years of Andrew Luck's peak...? He is 28. You do not do that kind of tanking when you have a top ten caliber QB around.
Except Texas, A&M, OU, and TCU are all trending very well right now with incredible coaches. Can I see Baylor being an average team? Yeah. They won’t get back what they did have under the Enablers and won’t have that flash.Due to location Baylor shouldn’t be down long and will have good recruiting classes, with or without Rhule.
Really? This would be on par with Chizik landing the Auburn job after winning 5 games in two years. I thought Baylor still had some talent, especially offensively and he got virtually nothing out of them.
I hope the whole "we allowed rape" thing would have taken care of any recruiting strength they had, regime change or not.First year head coach already interviewing to get out has to be great for recruiting lol
What's amazing is that he is pulling in a top-25 recruiting class.

Crazy that A&M was able to land Jimbo.

I think he was looking to get out ahead of the impending lynch mob in Tallahassee. He went 6-6 just a few years removed from a natty. I'm pretty sure he wasn't in a good situation and it was going downhill. A&M is at least a fresh slate, and based on what they're paying him, he either goes down as a god in College Station, or retires very comfortably after getting **** canned.
I get the move on Jimbo's part completely.
That said, I think it's crazy that A&M hired him, and for that amount.

Not to mention the money/facilities. For being a blue blood in college football, FSU isn't in great shape. They operate in the red, and have had pretty substandard facilities for a while. Also, Tallahassee is a dump of a city. Yes, it's in Florida, but not a nice part of Florida. The weather isn't as nice as much of the rest of the state. They're not on a beach or anything like that. It's not really a nice place.
I can totally see how College Station looked attractive to a guy like Jimbo. They were able to offer him money and facilities that FSU just couldn't.
Couple in your points about staying ahead of the lynch mob, and it's easy to see why he jumped ship.

I assume your memory of Baylor football begins in 2011
