Matt is thriving off the bench, so I think we should keep him there. His minutes should definitely increase - first off the bench and filling in for whoever is cold that night, or depending on the matchup. Tonight both Naz and Nader were off, and Matt was the only thing keeping us in the game in the first half, so the decision was obvious. But he should clearly be playing a lot of minutes, but I think he's doing well as the gunner off the bench in his own right....

Just read through 9 pages of this and have to say this has been the best thread in a long time.
I'm a Thomas hater. I'll admit it. I want everyone of the kids to put on the cardinal and gold to be an AA. Why wouldn't I? The more better they are the greater chance of winning. I always thought he was so overrated and Fred's pet project. But after reading that article today about him and all he's been through, and then tonight's game...I've done a 180. You've got a new super fan Matt.
I don't know if anyone else noticed it, but there were multiple occasions in the first half when Matt looked at Prohm and said "let me guard him". He was legitimately upset that they were trying everyone but him on Uthoff. He certainly backed that up. I love it.
This is awesome if true. MT was a beast tonight and he will never get enough credit for what he provides this team.
Matt was amazing. His 3's in the first half helped keep us somewhat in the game. His defense in the 2nd half was amazing. His 3 at the end was every bit as big as Monte's.

Won't take back what I've said about Thomas in the past, but this was by far the best game he's played. The man impressed me with his man defense and help defense. People might concentrate on his shooting, but he was the only player on the court in the first half with his head on straight. He didn't turn the ball over, didn't force anything, just took what the defense gave to him. Without him it would have been bad. He really impressed me tonight. Hope there's more to come.

Great for Matt! But NO!!! He doesn't need to start. Because he's playing his best ball in the role he's in. Let him ride with it! I may be wrong, but I think I'd rather have Nader in foul trouble than Matt, so let Nader still start.
Was great in the interview too, especially when asked if someone suggested he pick up his defense, and he responded he decided on his own he needed to improve and spent the summer working on his lateral speed.
