Matt A's replacement speculation

I'm curious, too, but if Fred brings him back (big "if"), then his judgement trumps Georges' mom's opinion. But most likely, if her concerns are legit, then Fred probably knows the situation and wouldn't bring him back.

Maybe Otz wasn't a Georges advocate back in the day? He's probably changed his mind by now I assume so it shouldn't be a problem.

Odds are Otz won't be here next year if we're successful because he'll land a head coaching gig. So, IF he comes here, he and the players must be in good standing.

If Otz already had his hat in the ring for two minor schools after just moving to awesome Washington and the area of his dreams, he is more like a nomad or hired gun. Keep looking, Fred.

I agree. There have to be some good recruiters out there that would look at Fred, if only for their resume's sake.

Mateen Cleaves - bet he could recruit the hell out of the state of Michigan. Plus he already has a good relationship with Monte Morris, so he might have some familiarity with the program?

Then where would mann recruit?

Travis Ford might get fired from OSU according to ESPN. How about him?

In all honesty, Travis Ford would be a homerun assistant and he may look at the position. Though I seriously doubt he stays more than 1 or 2 years until taking a power 5 HC job again.

time for Eustachy to come home. After getting screwed out of a NCAA spot he decides to come back to Ames to repay the fans for what he did.
