Looks like Disney learned their lesson from letting Indy 5 reviews out a month ahead of the movie.
I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised by The Marvels, but I won't be watching it until it comes out on Disney+.This is especially out of character for Disney with their MCU movies as they typically release them quite a ways ahead of time, except for a few exceptions like Spider-Man: Far From Home and I think maybe like Infinity War or Endgame. Those are ones they held back longer in order to not spoil the audience (likely not the case with The Marvels), but even with those, I think they released the embargo like 3 days ahead of time. I've never seen them do only a day ahead of time for an MCU movie, which by all movies, not just MCU ones, is a signal of no confidence by the studio in their film. If it is bad, it would be a continuation of a concerning trend to their product. With that said, I am really enjoying Loki S2 right now.
First two episodes of Loki S2 were great, this third episode was boring. Only a 6 episode season, hopefully it ends up better.I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised by The Marvels, but I won't be watching it until it comes out on Disney+.
I must be in the minority, but I am not a fan of Loki S2 so far. I really like the aesthetic and the casting is superb but they are using a lot of timey-wimey jargon and the charismatic cast is doing a lot to hide the blemishes of the plot. It's an entertaining series, but I'm having a hard time understanding what exactly is going on and why I should care.
Wanted to add that. Crazy that the kid who played Short Round and that guy in The Goonies now has an Oscar.First two episodes of Loki S2 were great, this third episode was boring. Only a 6 episode season, hopefully it ends up better.
Love O.B. and the actor who has been in everything everwhere all at once and the Disney+ show American Born Chinese, and played shorty in Indiana Jones and Temple of Doom. Academy Award winner Ke Huy Quan
He's great. Season 2 Loki is great so far. Creative/crazy/complex all wrapped in 1. Some great acting overall. Hiddleston and Majors are elite in these roles.Wanted to add that. Crazy that the kid who played Short Round and that guy in The Goonies now has an Oscar.
Oh its gonna suck. I will watch it but at home where I can be dissapointed in comfort.Uggghhhh...... just announced The Marvels review embargo isn't until the day before release, which is NOT a good sign as to the movies quality
Funny thing is, I didnt mind this installment. It wasnt great by any means, but thought it was a peaceful enough conclusion for Indiana.Looks like Disney learned their lesson from letting Indy 5 reviews out a month ahead of the movie.
It was slow, yes, but had a nice little nod to Lokis family and sort of introduced Balder. Timely is quite the weasel.First two episodes of Loki S2 were great, this third episode was boring. Only a 6 episode season, hopefully it ends up better.

‘Daredevil’ Hits Reset Button as Marvel Overhauls Its TV Business
Launched during the pandemic with a playbook to shoot $150 million-plus seasons with no pilots, the Disney unit is undergoing growing pains and seeing the logic of "traditional TV culture."www.hollywoodreporter.com
Interesting read. I tend to agree that the current form of Marvel TV is not working as well as it should be.
So i usually only jump in here every once in awhile and often months (if not years) late. I finally saw GoG3 last week. Did people like that movie? I found it more entertaining than I expected, the ending was a bit weird and forced, and the one gold dude was clearly shoehorned in there to create something in the future right? That was dumb. Weirdly, I found myself thinking I hope Rocket dies because that would be pretty captivating but I could tell he wasn't going to by the set up and someone likely would have told me that happened by now.
I thought it was great. Not perfect, but still overall a great watch. The 'animal' stuff is tough to stomach, might have shed a tear a time or two.I would say GOTG3 is generally very well liked by both critics and fans, with most believing it to be a fitting end to the trilogy. Honestly, I myself was probably the most critical of the movie on here, but after re-watching it, I find myself liking it more. I'm still of the opinion that the first 2/3 of the movie was relatively boring at times, while I found the last 1/3 to be super great. Like you, I also did not like Adam Warlock's role in the movie or even the character itself. To me, he is probably the weakest part of the movie, but did like him more the second go around at least. Regardless, glad to hear you finally saw the movie and generally liked it.
I have a friend that works in the industry in LA and saw this tweet and messaged them asking if this is a puff piece or click bait or if Marvel is maybe in trouble. They said they’re spiraling and the industry doesn’t want to admit how bad it actually is right now.
