Uggghhhh...... just announced The Marvels review embargo isn't until the day before release, which is NOT a good sign as to the movies quality

Looks like Disney learned their lesson from letting Indy 5 reviews out a month ahead of the movie.

This is especially out of character for Disney with their MCU movies as they typically release them quite a ways ahead of time, except for a few exceptions like Spider-Man: Far From Home and I think maybe like Infinity War or Endgame. Those are ones they held back longer in order to not spoil the audience (likely not the case with The Marvels), but even with those, I think they released the embargo like 3 days ahead of time. I've never seen them do only a day ahead of time for an MCU movie, which by all movies, not just MCU ones, is a signal of no confidence by the studio in their film. If it is bad, it would be a continuation of a concerning trend to their product. With that said, I am really enjoying Loki S2 right now.

I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised by The Marvels, but I won't be watching it until it comes out on Disney+.

I must be in the minority, but I am not a fan of Loki S2 so far. I really like the aesthetic and the casting is superb but they are using a lot of timey-wimey jargon and the charismatic cast is doing a lot to hide the blemishes of the plot. It's an entertaining series, but I'm having a hard time understanding what exactly is going on and why I should care.

First two episodes of Loki S2 were great, this third episode was boring. Only a 6 episode season, hopefully it ends up better.

Love O.B. and the actor who has been in everything everwhere all at once and the Disney+ show American Born Chinese, and played shorty in Indiana Jones and Temple of Doom. Ke Huy Quan

Wanted to add that. Crazy that the kid who played Short Round and that guy in The Goonies now has an Oscar.

It was slow, yes, but had a nice little nod to Lokis family and sort of introduced Balder. Timely is quite the weasel.

Another good episode of Loki with some big surprises this past week to say the least. However, with the way things are currently set up, this last episode will really be make or break for the season and I honestly have zero idea where they are going to go with it. At least the final episode of Loki S1 was the best episode of the entire season, so hoping S2 is the same way.

I agree with others, episode 3, while entertaining and way better than most MCU shows altogether, was a bit of a step down from the first 2. But absolutely necessary to set the stage for episode 4 and beyond. So far it's really felt like the first and fourth episodes were season-finale caliber plots and endings. I'm really interested to see where this all goes.

Funny story. I’ve been watching New Rockstars on YouTube for a long time, in part because with my vision slowly failing, they pick up details that I miss.

Indeed, I check the channel often enough that I never bothered following them on Twitt—er, X. Even so, I didn’t find it all that odd when New Rockstars twee—er, a week or two ago posts, started showing up in my feed in X.

Finally, just now, I decided to clear one of them out of my feed. And when I clicked on it, I discovered why they’d started showing up in my feed.

Because TJ Tampa follows New Rockstars.

Just when I think I couldn’t like that guy any better…

So i usually only jump in here every once in awhile and often months (if not years) late. I finally saw GoG3 last week. Did people like that movie? I found it more entertaining than I expected, the ending was a bit weird and forced, and the one gold dude was clearly shoehorned in there to create something in the future right? That was dumb. Weirdly, I found myself thinking I hope Rocket dies because that would be pretty captivating but I could tell he wasn't going to by the set up and someone likely would have told me that happened by now.

I would say GOTG3 is generally very well liked by both critics and fans, with most believing it to be a fitting end to the trilogy. Honestly, I myself was probably the most critical of the movie on here, but after re-watching it, I find myself liking it more. I'm still of the opinion that the first 2/3 of the movie was relatively boring at times, while I found the last 1/3 to be super great. Like you, I also did not like Adam Warlock's role in the movie or even the character itself. To me, he is probably the weakest part of the movie, but did like him more the second go around at least. Regardless, glad to hear you finally saw the movie and generally liked it.

I thought it was great. Not perfect, but still overall a great watch. The 'animal' stuff is tough to stomach, might have shed a tear a time or two.
They teased Warlock in the last movie, so they had to include him in this one. I thought it was fine; he didn't overpower the movie in any way and they tied his presence into the overarching story of the High Evolutionary.

Nothing about the ending felt "forced" at all. Very glad they did not "reunite" 2 of the main characters (as THAT would have been forced).

Gunn's films tend to have waaaayyyy too much yelling/shouting/bickering, especially the GoTG movies. That got old fast. Outside of that, great conclusion to the trilogy. The hallway fight scene is 10/10 fantastic in every way.

I have a friend that works in the industry in LA and saw this tweet and messaged them asking if this is a puff piece or click bait or if Marvel is maybe in trouble. They said they’re spiraling and the industry doesn’t want to admit how bad it actually is right now.

That article was a good read that sounds fairly accurate
