The team at Sony is pumping out content with zero regard to the MCU.

Might as well stick to slasher flixs.

Seriously, has nobody still seen Morbius yet?

With all the recent MCU movies we’ve typically taken the kids to the theater opening night however I don’t think we’ll be taking them to this one as it looks a little on the scarier side. Otherwise we would’ve gone already. I’ll probably wait until it comes out on Disney plus

Kinda the same for us, but it’s not the kids. My wife doesn’t want to see it based on trailers alone.

Hate to break it to you, but since it is a Sony produced and distributed movie, it won't be coming to Disney+. This is why none of the Spider-Man or Venom movies are on there. If my memory serves me correctly, I believe Sony has a newly minted deal with Netflix to be the exclusive first-run streamer of its future movies.

This whole thing feels like Sony gets Andrew Garfield for their Spider-Man and terrible movies while the MCU keeps Tom Holland and keeps chugging along with their interconnected universe

That’s my hope anyway.

I just saw Morbius. Honestly, I thought it was decent. Definitely as good as the Venom movies. It's like one critic pans it and the other cirtics just jump on board.

Critics basically thought the same about Morbius that they did about venom if you look at metacritic.

I'll see it (sometime) but I just have zero use for vampire type stuff.

I grew up on 90s spiderman, which I just rewatched on Disney+. I never thought Michael Morbius was an interesting character. His episodes we saved because they also featured Kraven and Blade.

While i like the idea of giving bad guys the focus, I hate that they pretty much removed Spiderman entirely.

Eighth anniversary of the release of “Captain America-The Winter Soldier”.

Sebastian Stan with 13 minutes of screen time and 8 lines arguably steals the show.

The guy is a very underrated actor, but he’s starting to get starring roles and killing them. He was insanely good as Tommy Lee in the Pam and Tommy miniseries, and he was really good in “Fresh”, a dark comedy/horror movie.

I saw Morbius last weekend. It wasn't a good movie, but I didn't hate it. Wife did though. I thought it was better than Venom, There will be Carnage.

Just seems like Sony doesn't really care about storytelling, but knows anything within the Spider-Man universe is gonna sell, regardless how good or bad the story is.

I would agree about the Sony story telling. it would be great if they would just license everything to Disney and split the profits somehow.

I'm going tonight and will post my thoughts after.

On a separate note, I've talked on here a bit about my recent full MCU and Spider-Man movies re-watch with some different thoughts. Got a new hot take for everyone:

-The Amazing Spider-Man movie is my favorite Spider-Man movie. That movie is so underrated and visually looks SPECTACULAR in 4K, as it is one of the only movies filmed in native 4K with a 4K transfer. It also has the best score of all the Spider-Man movies as well. RIP Howard Shore. While John Williams will always be the GOT, you and Hans Zimmer are a solid 2nd and 3rd best.
