Ya'll feel that rot settling in?

I'll play the opposite advocate. So... 1 good offer? I like his measurables, but 1 good offer and 1 commit is essentially wiping away the rot? I wouldn't say he's a game changer and one to praise with the way you're mocking a prior OP. But, it's message board fodder, so mock away.

It was 100% done in jest. Although I do think talk of rot is premature. I'm going to let the season continue to play out before talking about rot.

I agree. If this team can steal a few that we wouldn't think is possible, then that is something to build on and get excited about next year. Then, that is when the real expectations are set on Campbell and he needs to have some sort of bar he needs to meet or there needs to be real questions answered and not this rah rah process speak.

I will never, ever understand the need to use some 17 year old kid's big announcement to make some negative point about the state of the program. Let the kid have his moment in every possible way.

Can we let the next 2 months play out and then revisit this commitment in like 4 years?

Maybe stop to appreciate a kid getting a scholly to play sports ball at your favorite school?

I don’t pay attention to football recruiting. Basketball is much more accurate. This kid could be the next TJ Tampa or the next transfer. Hope he kills it for us and glad to have him.

ISU's also had a few highly touted bballers end up at schools hardly anyone knows exists.

David Montgomery shows Miami (OH) and Cincy as his other schools.

Guess things don't always go as they appear.

Meh, the Defensive staff deserves plenty of trust when it comes to recruiting. They've identified/developed a lot of guys who didn't have insane offers into studs. On both ends, but defense especially.

Oh come on. 1. It was a joke. 2. It's a message board. I'm not going to find this kids Twitter and make a comment like this.

Yes. Welcome. And thank you noah for trying to get this thread on subject.
You're welcome! And Marcus, ignore the man/men (CF fans) behind the curtain! Ames and Iowa State is the best!

I've always assumed a 12-year-old can post on CF. So I would hope a high school senior would have the sense to ignore anyone who posts garbage in a commitment thread. So, welcome to Iowa State, Marcus Neal!!! Like many of us here, you will likely be glad you went to Ames.
