Malou staying in NBA Draft

Wonder what happened from the optimism he would be here to it all changing about a week

I hope he succeeds. His path through life seems to have been tough and full of bad luck.

That really sucks. I wonder who there is any chance for Livingston now? Hopefully one of the young bigs like Lard Carter and Young can help out next year. I really like both the freshman and wouldn't be surprised to see at least one make an impact next year.
Still a tournament team.
One thing this does is allow ISU to grab a sit out transfer if nothing else.

As a Cyclone fan, it sucks he won't make it to ISU, but even though he never wore the cardinal and gold I will cheer for his success. He deserves something good to happen to him, even after all the bad advice and struggles he seems to be not only talented but a genuinely good person.

what seemed like 4 years of teasing us finally ends with a nice nut kick. Hope he sticks on somewhere in the league though. I'll definitely be rooting for him

This really is a bummer, but I'm glad it is settled now, so the coaches can move forward immediately with whatever they want to do with the scholarship slot. I sure hope it goes well for Malou.

A couple weeks ago everyone was like "We're over on scholarships! How are we going to make this work?!" Now we have an open spot.

So if we don't fill Malou's spot this year, then next year we will have 7 open scholarships, correct?

Bowie
Burton
Holden
Mitrou-Long
Morris
Thomas
Malou's spot

That is insane. In that scenario you have to take a combo of 2 and 4 year players to space out the roster. It will sure be interesting on the recruiting front.

There is a gut punch to start Wednesday. I realize the smoke and all the issues that pointed to Malou not making it to campus so it isn't a big surprise. I wish nothing but the best for Malou, he got taken advantage of as a teenager, tried to make it to ISU through prep school, two JC's and appeals to the NCAA. He was left at with no other choice.

Would have really enjoyed seeing him play in Hilton but it was never to be.

The Ghost of Malou legend lives on.

If Ernst wants to be here, would we re-consider him coming back, or does the coaching staff feel we can do better?

I like Ernst and feel he can provide us with some physicality that we need.

I wouldn't mind ISU taking a chance with the one, the only... Kostas Antetokounmpo.

He ended up 89th on the final Rivals rankings.
