Malou entering the Draft without Agent

He's gotten the RAW end of some shady people and I honestly hope whatever happens to him, he finds success. Obviously want it at ISU, but the kid deserves a shot.

With all of the moving around and stuff I do wonder who he can turn to as an honest broker or mentor for advise. He doesn't really (as far as I know from limited reading) have a Hoiberg or a Prohm or a JC coach to advise him. Who does a kid in his situation turn to?

Edit: Oh, never mind....just read CyTwins posts and that pretty much answers me.

This is GREAT marketing by the kid! Are you kidding? Even if he doesn't get an invite this year he has put himself on other agent's and pro scout's radar for next time and next time. Brilliant play!

Really no reason for him not to try this. I do think he will need next year to make a splash and get drafted. I don't think the NBA sees any drawback in it either. If not enough teams are interested, they simply won't invite those players to events. Simple as that.

you are right. I certainly don't blame him and he's obviously planning ahead.

I do think the more interesting topic is how this effects the schools in question.

I bet the NBA tries to stop this. Like you cannot come to the combine without an agent in the future.

Why? No downside for them, they now get to bring a bunch of kids in for workouts and gather a lot of information in a very short period of time. And if they don't want to deal with working a bunch of kids out, they don't have to. The combine is going to be the same size as always.

Is it time for me to dump all of my ISU MBB stock? Or are we expecting it to go back up?

I know a guy trying to sell me some Iowa MBB stock that has hit rock bottom, but analysts predict they might file for bankruptcy this year.

Does anyone know when Malou would know if the NCAA clears him? Are we talking prior to the May 25 NBA draft deadline or is it TBD?

Just catching the news of this....dont have time to read a bunch of pages...just tell me on a scale of 1 to Steven Avery how screwed are we?

Just spoke with Iowa State coach Steve Prohm. Says that Malou entered as a backup in case things don't go his way with the NCAA. #Cyclones

Stop with the facts and reasonable explanations....

I. WANT. MELTDOWN!!!!!!

If anyone wants to dump their season tickets next year I'll buy them at 50% of face value.
