Malik Dime---Indian Hills (reported UW commit)

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

Yes, except that is not Embiid. More importantly, Dime is not Embiid in any of those aspects.

I'm not saying that Dime is the same quality of player as Embiid. But I do disagree that Embiid was an outside presence. He was a dominant inside player. It appeared that others on this forum were saying that we would not want a player that doesn't spend a good amount of time around the 3 point line similar to Ejim or Niang.

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

I seen Indian Hills play 3-4 times this year. IMO even though Manyang is 7 ft. tall Dime is the better player. He is raw, but he does have soft hands and great timing on his blocks. He is a big powerful dunker, and is reminds me a lot of Mckay.

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

Not to be a homer but we're the best option on that list. Wichita State and K-State a close second.

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

Most importantly what's his 3 pt %?

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

If I had to predict which big man we land it would be Dime. Diallo is possible IMO but still a long shot because of who is involved.

Ellenson may be a tough sell to get out of the B1G and because he would have to share the spotlight with another ball handling big man, Niang, and he likely views himself as a one and done so he may not even want to overlap for a year with Niang.

Sure, but he may like sharing the spotlight with Georges for a year.

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

I thought I read once that Dime's top three are Wichita State, Kansas, and ISU. But the kicker is he doesn't even have an offer from Kansas (at time of article).

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

How does he compare to Darien Williams? Different type of players?

I am not the expert by any means but Williams is more of an athletic stretch 4 while Dime is more of a traditional 5 with lot of defensive prowess and limited offense to this point.

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

I think the toughest competition is going to be Arizona State---Former Indian Hills Head Coach Barret Peery is an assistant at ASU now. It would be tough to turn down a high major offer considering that his recruiting has exploded in the last 4 months.

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

A source in the athletic dept at indian hills told me a couple weeks ago that fred had been in contact with the new head coach and has plans to venture to ottumwa to get familiar with one another. The indian hills connection is important( see dustin hogue and jameel mckay). Keeping close ties with a juco blue blood like indian hills certainly cant hurt recruiting going forward.

With the amount of good players coming out of that school, ISU and Fred need to turn it into a pipeline.
