Malik Dime---Indian Hills (reported UW commit)

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

Mods. Close this thread in an hour. Lucky I stayed with my Diallo avatar.

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

But he also doesn't get dinged for a wrong pick. Not sure why you keep defending that site. It's a joke.

Yes he does, he get's no points. The scale goes from like 1 to 100 or something and he gets none. Are you that made about whether he gets a red x or not?

The guy who gets 80 points picked Dime to UW 3 weeks ago and he gets credit for it.

My thought is that if this kid bounced because of competition we don't need his competitiveness. Obviously what we've already got is pretty good.

For me I never look at how many points someone has, I look at the percent of correct picks. All I'm saying is this won't hurt his guess percentage. And yeah, I would like to see a red "X", because he guessed incorrectly.

Sounds like a you problem.

Anybody wonder why Hoiberg visited Malik I assume just a day or 2 ago? Perhaps it was Dime telling him no, or maybe Hoiberg telling him that ISU is moving in another direction thinking a high school kid would be better based on who's here given the progress he has seen from Georgios, Mckay and others. Just curious.

Hoiberg went there to try to close the deal or he was there looking at other players as well. He wouldn't go tell him face to face ISU was moving in another direction IMO

We have offers out to quite a few JUCO guys so it wouldn't surprise me if CFH was at that event to see more than just Dime.

Ya I should have said just moving in another direction but not telling Dime why.

Well, I think we were all looking at the lineup and wondering where exactly he fit next year. I'm sure he would have been a great pick up, but not a shoe-in starter by any means with a completely loaded lineup. Best of luck to him at Washington.

Re: Malik Dime---Indian Hills

We wanted Dime. He didn't want us. Let's not be Hawkeyes and go the, "oh we didn't want him anyway."

I'm not saying we didn't want him, but we're at a point now, where losing Dime is not a big deal. I seriously doubt that Fred is losing any sleep over this.

I would have liked to keep the IHCC pipeline going and Dime would have really added some size and depth to our frontcourt, but overall, I'm pretty sure Fred can find someone AT LEAST as good as Dime. Diallo being one option obviously, or it may take a transfer, but either way, we are not taking a hit by losing Dime.

He almost definitely wouldn't have started.

Who is saying this? What is being said is that he's a miss that is easily absorbed.
