You can bring foreman in, but imagine if Harris gets a waiver and imagine we get JCL. Suddenly it's a crowded backcourt again. Somebody is going to get pissed off. Sometimes it's better to not rock the boat. If foreman was an obvious take, my opinion would be different. But he's not obvious.

I don’t get the Nixon comparison. They seem like totally different players. Nixon was actually a pretty good defender a lot of the year.
It's the nature of kids these days to turn and run at the first indication of opposition or perceived road block. I don't want them to stop going after players, I just don't think you risk running off who we already have for players like foreman who aren't really moving the needle much
Not really anyone last year out side of rasir or Tyrese proved they aren't able to be recruited over.
Someone who can shoot and score will help. Positions 3-5 are a lot more crowded than 1-2. We need guards because we are going to play more than 2 of them in a single game, and in case of injury which we seen take all of our guards last year.
JCL would be a home run and if I had my choice between the two I'd take him but I still think this is a guy that would definitely help. He had a lot of interest when he entered the portal IIRC

A lot of programs after a kid in the spring doesn’t mean he’s that good, let alone a home run.
Michigan sees him as a role player. That’s valuable, don’t get me wrong, but a home run?
Michigan has a steady rotation of guards, while we are the complete opposite. JCL could come here and play significant minutes and be a high valued contributor, or he could go to Michigan and be a role player.
