You can make that case about almost every ISU coach. None had as high of expectations as the heir of Hayden Fry.

I think you've overused this one. Pretty sure both fanbases are ready for new coaches, just found this thread interesting considered CPR has about the same lengthy contract. Difference being, Iowa is much more attractive job and $ isn't an issue.

Honestly over the last 5 years ISU has played one of if not the toughest schedule in college football. Ranked opponents almost every other week. That equates to wins and losses. Rhoads' record would be much better in the B1G and Freerentz would be much worse in the Big XII. Iowa struggles to beat bad ISU teams...how would they fare against a conference slate that has high-powered and athletic offenses? That being said...we are not as good as you.
