Also, anyone else find it odd that college football and basketball players are allowed to sign MLB contracts and keep their amateurism? I remember that goofy looking bball player from UNI that signed a contract between his junior and senior seasons yet other players were not allowed to get jobs.

Speaking of old guys playing QB, whatever happened to Chris Weinke?? Wasn't he also like 28 when he left FSU?

I don't see how signing a MLB contract is any different than that WR from Colorado a while back having endorsement deals since he was an Olympic skier.
 
Weeden is unflappable - he does have a tendency to throw tipped passes. I'm surprised a few more haven't broken against him before Friday, but some of that has to do with the velocity. Holy cow, he puts a little mustard on 'em.

Since he's a man and he's fourty his coach would have to allow it, but I agree, Hate that it was OSU that we did this too and really gained even more respect for him after the game. Didn't see a hissy fit, foul rant, about anything like every player seems to need to throw out there. Just showed his disappointment, at no one inparticular, went about his business and even after the loss was all class by all accounts.

Besides the obvious, these are just more reasons that, I'll never laugh at that photo.

I know exactly what your talking about and it confused me as well. At first I thought it might of been some fan storming the field being an idiot and grabbing one of their players, but then it appeared to be a coach. Very confusing.
 
I've got no problem with Weeden, seems like a good guy. I hope he punks Oklahoma after we do, and the Cowboys still manage to get into the title game, because they are the only Big 12 team with a chance.

It looked like the the bald-headed coach was holding onto the player as they walked off the field and got knocked off balance by a fan storming the field.
 
Weeden looks like the actor that was on the T-Show "V", from ABC. He was a bad alien guy on that crappy show. Looks just like him.

This. He had nothing but good things to say about ISU and the way we played. I'm certainly supporting Barnett, but I'd love to have a seasoned QB like Weeden. There's a lot of mental maturity between 18 and 28, and it shows in the way Weeden carries himself. I hope he does well if he goes to the NFL, even though it will likely be a short career.
