Lost Transfers Past

To be fair, transferring was not very popular in all of NCAA until McDermott days. And then it became popular, and everyone playing for McDermott realized how awesome life was away from him and left.

Didn't realize Fred has probably lost as many as he's gotten. would be interesting to see that breakdown, yet too lazy to do my own research. If someone has time....:spinny:

Fred has had almost as many transfers out as he has had in, but the players coming in are big time upgrades over the ones leaving.

That is a good thing.

LE had Ricky Morgan, A 4 star PG from Michigan who lasted 1 year.

Also, Tim Barnes was a Juco who played 1 year. Came in the same time as Jackson Vroman. He only played 1 year. Couldn't pass the grades and caught with dope too many times. This forced a young Will Blalock to have to start as a true freshmen.

That kid from NE (Zach Fortune - not Eckmeyer who as a McDermott kid who left for greener pastures and success with LE in Colorado State) - but was the Nebraska Gatorade POY.

Is Derrick Hayes for sure? Also who is the Nebraska kid you speak of?

Well if I could recall - I'd put his name down. He was Mr Basketball in Nebby in HS. I believe transferred to North Dakota or somewhere. Remember his dad being a royal pain in the arse.

I'm not 100% about Hayes. I thought Floyd gave him his walking papers the second year and remember being upset about it because after Fred, Meyer, Julius and Beechum - Hayes was about all we had coming back.

Edit: yep

Edit: Yep - Zach Fortune.

Which also leads to Eustachy and Brandon Brown. Double Edit: Brandon Hawkins (Brown was the linebacker - duhhh)

This program is in a nose dive. Fred leaves next for Chicago Bulls.

If you and I were in the same room right now I would probably karate chop you in the jugular and duct tape your hands together so you'd stop posting this crap.
(end internet tough-guy rant)

Orr (just the ones I could immediately remember/find — there are others)
Paul Beene* (to Chicago State)
John Culbertson (to Northern Illinois)
Sam Mack (to Arizona State, then to Houston)

*IIRC, Beene was signed in same year as Barry Stevens.
