LOST: Recon

I remember a scene from a few seasons ago where Whidmore was at an auction and bid on something that was the only piece found from the Black Rock. I can't remember what it was - but maybe it is something that he and the Others can use to regain control of the island.

Ship log wasnt it?

What do you mean by your #2? Elaborate please.

#2 is the second timeline. This timeline was created when the bomb detonated at the end of the fifth season. In this timeline Flight 815 lands at LAX. Aaron is born in LA shortly after Claire and everyone else lands.

But Aaron is three years old when the Oceanic Six returned to the island, so there are two separate timelines that are three years apart.

On an unrleated but Lost-related note, I just read on Lostpedia that the box set of all six seasons will be released along with the season six DVD set in late August will retail for $150 for the DVD box set, and $200 for the Blu-ray box set. I've got 1-5 on DVD right now, but I'd really like to get the Blu-ray version when it releases, as there's bound to be a whole load of extras not available in the previous seasons.

That is how you make a two year arc into a five year story.

Did anyone notice the book under "Watership Down" on Sawyer's dresser?

Interesting...probably a little inside joke by the writers.

Maybe more interesting was the book under that, possibly a red herring. The book was "Lancelot" by Percy Walker. I looked this up and found out it is a novel with some deep existentialist themes questioning mankind's search for meaning, good vs. evil, and role of free will and how it affects our examination of these things. It essentially asks the question "are we all Lost?" If anyone here has read the book, or anything by Walker, is there any insight on what's going on?

After last nights episode, I am fully on board the island is the Garden of Eden theory.

Didn't Richard save Locke's life at one point during the flashes? Why?!? Apparently Richard is a Jacob follower, why save Locke?

When his leg was injured? Because minutes before the man who Richard thought was Locke himself (but was actually smokey, MIB, whatever you want to call him) told him to, and he told him exactly what to tell Locke, in order for Locke to die and have his body come back to the island.

Don't forget Walt and Michael are out there somewhere in sideways-land

I really wish they would've expanded more on why Walt was so "special" but I think it's irrelevant at this point.

Detonating the bomb creates timeline 2

I think that's what the producers want us to think. If you remember at the end of season 5 it flashed to white, which is exactly what happened every time they were about to time travel. I think since Jack is a candidate and isn't allowed to kill himself (according to Richard), the hydrogen bomb wouldn't go off since he was the one that dropped it. And right before Juliet was about to detonate it, flash, they are in a different time period.

I, too, believe that this "alt. timeline" is indeed the actual future of our Losties, but I don't think we've yet seen what caused the island to sink.

They probably filled a year worth of episodes with scowling from Sawyer, lots of Claire yelling "My Baby!", and tons of Ben/Jack/Sawyer/Sayid getting punched and shot in their shoulders.

Is every one in agreement that Widmore does, in fact, want to kill MIB? I guess once an Other/Jacob-follower always an Other/Jacob-follower.

Another interesting point.... Flocke told Ben to meet him at Hydra Island in last week's episode, yet Flocke is still on the main island. And since it seems that he knows that Widmore and company are docked on the Hydra Island, it appears that he was trying to set Ben up to be killed... since we all know what Widmore thinks of Ben.

Don't forget "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalt!"

I'm not sold on that idea. Whidmore never admitted to Sawyer that he wanted to kill Locke/MiB, just that he would promise to get Sawyer off the island. Whidmore was once the leader of the others, so maybe the MiB can reinstate Whidmore as leader in exchange for giving MiB the sub to leave the island.

Quick question. Did Sawyer recognize Miles when he first came to the island with Faraday and Charlotte? Because, wouldn't he have been like, "Hey, you're my partner." Right?

Or, he would have recognized Charlotte and been like, "Hey, you were my partner...for a night." Right?

:biglaugh:

Charlotte's eyes are mesmerizing. The rest of her isn't half bad either.

I know it looks like him but it's not. I recognize the actor and I thought I could figure out how I know him but I couldn't find a link. The guy who played DJ Connor on Roseanne is not given credit for being on Lost:

Michael Fishman (I)

Coulda sworn it was him, but after looking at that link, you're right.

That guy looked really familiar, nonetheless.
