Agreed. Flocke seemed surprised/confused/mad that Jack was there. That wasn't a coincidence...it meant something.
All in all, a decent episode. I liked last weeks much better mainly because of the big change in direction of the flash sideways. More on-insland action this week which was great.
I don't know. He has been trying to get all the candidates together so he can off them all at once. Maybe he was surprised in the fact that he didn't need to use Kate to get them.

I hope desmond gets out of that well and shoves his boot up either Sayids *** or MIB's ***.
They have already done this before...they have already gathered together..they have already left the island with MiB before, which is what I think the alt timeline is...and perhaps in that reiteration of the cycle, the limo driver was the body MiB inhabited to get off the island...that timeline is in the past,,,2005...and what we are seeing on the island is this same cycle happening again...and again, and again
Remember the end of the Matrix movies? The Oracle and The Architect met and agreed to unplug all humans that wanted to be free, and that peace would last 'As long as it can'.
I think the show is going to end with Desmond rebooting things so the MiB never got off...and Jacob and MiB will be back on the beach...and the world spins round and round, and they look up, and there is a plane splitting up in the sky....and away we go.

I think this whole thing is just going to be Hurley's time in the mental institution.........this is all just made up in his head. IMHO.
In the season 2 episode "Dave", this was what Dave was trying to tell Hurley.

Carlton Cuse: The connection between the imaginary Dave and Dave his father was completely intentional, I mean we wanted basically Hurley to imagine a friend and have that be wrapped up in his unresolved relationship with his Dad, so that’s why his imaginary friend is named Dave.
I wish I could take credit for fully noticing this but I just read it on another site. It appears there is a Bruce Springsteen fan writing Lost.

Now wait a minute, he may be on to something. In Season 5, Larry from Newhart played Oldham in the episode "He's Our You."

Yeah, there has got to be some connection between the two "Lockes", or else there is no reason for Desmond to run him over, unless he was just doing so to trigger his memories of the other timeline, which I suppose is possible. Seems a little drastic as it looked like he was trying to kill him though. Of course that also happened just after Flocke through Desmond down a well.
Good episode, I loved seeing htem get rid of Alana's annoying character like that. Can't wait to see where this all leads.

Now, here's my reasoning: the producers have been quoted as saying that a number of Stephen King books have influenced the show, most specifically, The Stand. Brief synopsis: most of the population is eliminated. The remaining people divide into two groups of "good" vs. "evil." A big showdown occurs and the evil clan is destroyed by a nuclear bomb. Final chapter, the Flagg, the leader of the baddies, reappears in the form of a crow and begins gathering his clan again.
Second King influence: the Dark Tower series. I won't spoil it for those interested in reading them. Suffice it to say, we see the same idea of the story looping continuously. For King (and most of his readers), it's not the final destination, it's the journey or process that gets us there where we reveal our true selves and learn/grow.
