I don't know about anyone else, but I'm ready to move on from the depressing dual last weekend. Good thing for the team is that they get another solid test this week with Oklahoma. Now, Oklahoma isn't Missouri, but will still provide several challenges.

I have ISU down as solid favorites at 125, 157, and Hvy. Oklahoma is a solid favorite 33, 49 (if Degen isn't a go), 74, and 97. Of course, the ISU young guys have potential at those weights so it wouldn't be too surprising to see a couple wins. 74 could be fireworks as both guys will go upper body and let it fly.

41 will be the marquee match with Parker and Demas. Right now Demas leads their career series at 3 wins to 2. Great opportunity here for Parker to even the series and get back on track after last week.

Going to be a pretty close dual and lots of tossups. I have 33, 65, and 74 as the most important matchups.
My picks:
125 - Terukina wbd ISU 3-0
133 - Redding wbd ISU 6-0
141 - Demas wbd ISU 6-3
149 - Moore wbd 6-6
157 - Carr wmd ISU 10-6
165- Judge wbd ISU 13-6
174 - Mantanona wbf ISU 13-12
184 - Battani wbd ISU 16-12
197 - Woodley wbd ISU 16-15
hvy - Gremmel wbd ISU 19-15

Interesting you list 33 as OK favorite, but have Redding winning. I can see Zack being the aggressor, but losing on experience similar to MZ. Really hope Ian can get Demas again. Just needs to stay away from the big moves. If Degan and Robinson are both out, we're likely giving up bonus points at 49. OK's 165lber is 0-3, but they've all been close against ranked guys. I have an awful hard time picking Judge there. Love to see us pick up 97 and think we have a shot but Yonger must stay off of the bottom.

I really liked what I saw from Redding last week against a better opponent than Madrigal. Madrigal is a heavy favorite on paper, but I'm picking Redding. My pick at 149 is based on Robinson being in there. Have we received an update on his status?

I think Woodley is just too solid and experienced at this point for Bastida. I like Yonger in the long run though.

Agree for the most part, but I'm picking Parker over Demas. Love the Redding pick, Madrigal has been off to a rough start. I'd like to see Stotts get the nod at 165. I also don't think Broderson goes down by fall, hopefully last week was a learning experience.

Going to be a close dual. Hoping we can get bonus at 125 (either Mackall or Kysen) and Hwt. Carr has had some close matches with Thomas, so I am not sure we will get a major there, but if we do get a major that will show David is on his way to taking the next step. I also like Redding to beat Madrigal at 133, and have Parker over Demas at 141. Hopefully Cam is healthy enough to go at 149 as I think he is capable of beating Moore. I think we have a solid bounce-back match from Julien, but falls short against a top 10 guy. 184 would be great to see Sammy back in the lineup. Bastida has beaten Woodley in freestyle, but not sure he is there yet in folkstyle to get the W. As state above, give me Yonger in March.

I don’t think Broderson gets pinned again.

Ian will be on a mission. That match will be like two chess masters going at it. Would be shocked if it’s not OT which is always a big plus for Ian given his gas tank

Even if Degen is back, I worry about the first match back, regardless of opponent.

65 -ugh

we are going to miss Sammy in a big way again. That could be 6+ point swing right there alone.

Also, I bought UNI season tickets because we have two duals in cedar falls. Got an email saying that I don’t have enough “panther points” to be one of the ones selected for the seats (they are capping at 15% capacity). Cancelled my season tickets and am getting my money back. Pretty disappointed but it is what it is. I’m not gonna donate money to another AD to get in the door for those meets.

I think someone is getting pinned at 74. Hope its not Broderson, but I don't see that match ending any other way.

Is there anyway to see the dual without paying a bunch for flo?

So did I until like 20 min ago. Same boat. Why I was wondering if anyone had more intel on it.

The Big 12 affiliate schools (UNI, SDSU, NDSU, etc.) are still allowed to use their own individual or primary conference agreements for streaming.

Wonder if Alex will beat Kysen today

I wrestled varsity for two years, being challenged frequently by the JV guy. He was always a tough match, but I always got the better of him - except once. That one loss was enough to keep me sharper from then on. Maybe Kysen is the better of the two, and maybe Alex just needed that wakeup call to get back on top. The wrestle off today should tell us a lot.

I agree. Yonger put out a lot of effort going for some big moves early in the last match. He was gassed by the end. He will learn better match pace, and only get stronger.

Well that sucks. I get though. I think...
