Longhorn Network will be gone soon.

No school has played more games on the LHN than ISU, other than Texas. I don’t have data to back this up, but there also is no way it isn’t true.

Pretty sure your right. For football, it was either us or KU that ended up on the longhorn network for football.
For basketball, I am not sure who the other teams were that ended up on the longhorn network besides us.

Let us take a minute and appreciate that we soon will no longer miss games due to the LHN. With the MBB conference schedule being released i couldn't help but notice once again the game @ Texa$$ is on the LHN. I was immediately irritated then realized that should be the last one we have and I was finally relieved.

This got me thinking, does anyone have any data on how many of our games were on the LHN compared to other Big 12 teams? Seems to me we had to have a disproportionate amount but I also don't pay any attention to who is relegated to that monstrosity when it isn't us.
Hope the saloon doors hit them in the a***.

I was actually talking about mens basketball, which @Al_4_State was refering to, but I was wrong. When was the last time we did win in Austin? I remember Tasheed stomping on the logo back in the Morgan era. Surely that's not the last time we won down there.
Didn’t Carr have a bunch of points in OT? Like 17 of them?

Yeah, he was on fire but I think it was 13. I remember being on the BRR ride and listening to that game outside on the street in Rippey. Our buddy met us there and he popped the hatchback and played it on his car radio. I was floored by the margin of victory in an OT game. I don't think it is very common to win by a dozen in OT.

ISU scored 68 in 40 minutes of regulation and then 24 in 5 minutes of OT.

I was thinking about that this morning after the schedule drop, so I spent a few minutes on Wikipedia and here is what I came up with.

I'm not sure why West Virginia is so low, but at least we aren't the purple kittens. That being said, we are ending the TexASS era on a 5 consecutive year run on the LHN.

So we will end tied for 2nd most with TCU and Tech, assuming neither of them play on LHN this season.

What about including football?
You really want to know??

There were LHN Big12 conference games 2011-2019. The last 3 years all Texas conference home games were network broadcasts. This year doesn't have a scheduled LHN game, yet.

Kansas - 5
Iowa St - 4

That's the list. Kansas and Iowa St both had one game early on that was dual broadcast locally, but the rest were LHN only.

F*** TexASS!

So there you have it, it isn't just Cyclone fans' perception. ISU wins the booby prize with 10 appearances on the LHN edging out even KSU's 8.

So Iowa State has more games on LHN total. Ours is just split between two sports.
