I did it through the app and will just Chromecast to my tv....and as I'm sipping my victory drink I'll cancel after the game!

I signed up for the 5 day trial and was able to add the sports pack for the LHN.

When I called the first time I mentioned a trial, and they said they didn’t have any, but had $5 off. I said I couldn’t afford it (lol) and called back today and said I’d like to purchase it just for the day, and they gave me it for nothin.
 
I called DirecTV last night and had the sports package added. The CSR I talked to could barely speak English so I didn't try to negotiate it. I'll just call afterwards and cancel it off. Should be all set.
 
Those of you who have PSVue.. do you have any issues logging in using a FireStick?

I signed up for the free trial last night, and went to login on the app and as soon as I'd hit "Sign In" i'd get a black screen and it would stay that way.

I finally just let it sit there for an hour or so and came back and the login screen was up and it worked just fine getting to the channels and the guide. Read online and it seems to be an issue for others as well.

I want all my kinks worked out before 7PM Saturday.
 
Don't even have to call DirecTV, I just took care of it in 2 minutes via online chat. No hassle at all.

We have a couple TVs with fire sticks and PS Vue is our main app. No problems usually. When I do have problems I go into the settings -> manage apps -> PS Vue -> clear cache then restart the stick.

Yeah, I did that and it still did it to me, so thats when I just left it alone and eventually came back and it was fine.
 
Just signed up for the free trial of PS Vue. I was able to add the sports packaged onto the free trial without an additional charge and confirmed the LHN works streaming on my phone, computer, and Chromecast! It also said streaming can be done on up to 5 devices simultaneously.

Update.

Bro did some research and found he could switch to Dish and get the LHN for $69/month. Called DTV back today threatening to cancel and switch.

They gave him 6 mos free sports package and knocked some off his monthly bill.

If there is a will...there's a way!
