I've had a few glimpses of how they show video all around the angled edges of the ceiling. It looks like a 360 degree video ribbon board that is about 20 feet high above the highest seating. What was it like in person? Was it actual video, not just projections of images like at the Sprint Center in KC?

Honestly you don't notice it a ton, it's fine, just very inorganic

I predict he will go wherever the money is best - whether that's staying in Austin or moving elsewhere.

For whatever reason, he is just more focused on the short term than long term. IDK if he doesn't think he can play professionally anywhere good, doesn't want to make a career out of basketball, or just needs the money now and damn the future. Or maybe he is just a "one marshmallow" guy, idk.

He prob will take the money. But man, he got his ass kicked last night. Off the ball just as much as on, our guys just beat his ass physically. That would have been unimaginable a couple years ago. Somehow he lost all that good edge and toughness.

He has to feel that right? That's he's getting his ass beat right? The lack of development is physical and well as skill.

He just needs it be a point guard and get in shape, try to get sone sort of shot back.

There will always be that "what if" had he stayed at ISU and developed but on the flip side I think Lipsey is turning out to be the better player of the 2 and also has embraced being a Cyclone.

I think this hypothetical is really interesting to think about. I'm confident Hunter would be better if he had stayed than he is right now. But the question is whether he and/or Lipsey would have developed in a way to make them more complementary to each other, since at this moment they'd have the same issue that Hunter has had at Texas being paired with other ball-dominant combo guards. It would have been fun having both Lipsey and Hunter on the court hounding opposing ball handlers, though (Terry's lower amount of aggression on defense has also hurt Hunter, IMO).

Kansas is in bad shape if they take Tyrese next year. IF they do it would be a back up roll. I could have seen them taking him when he transfered from Iowa State when he had huge upside. Not now though unless they strike out on who they are going after. Tyrese should transfer to Marquette and play for Shaka.

Was at the game, I just have to post something.

-lot of Cyclone fans there, I still say Austin is the best place to go to a game, fans are very nice.

-i have been to this arena a lot, it's very nice, but the crowd just blows. While it is way better than what they had, it's just not a very intimating place vs Hilton. It's just very manufactured, nobody has any clue when to make noise, the basketball IQ is so low, they just have no idea.

-be thankful for Hilton everyone, it's so much better than 95% of the places out there, we really are very very spoiled.

-Texas is very, very poorly coached. I cannot stress this enough. I would say they need to make a change, but they will be fine in the SEC, and be an 9 seed every year and they will be stuck with this guy.

-Tyrese has to get out of there, he plays weak, slow, and he's playing off guard, he has to get out this off season, his career is over if he doesn't. If I were him I would go to Kansas. I feel terrible for him, just a really bad basketball decision. Good for money, but he can get money anywhere.

-off the ball we really, really physical with Tyrese but especially Abmas, and it really bothered him. Gilbert gave him a very intentional body check right off the bat and put him on the floor, and then Tamin just crushed him off the ball on the next possession. Both should have been fouls but we got lucky. It was a very very good game plan off the bat. Abmas is just too small to really make a big difference.

-I think there was 1 foul called in the first 10 minutes. We were crazy physical right off the bat.

-Bob has a leg injury in the 2nd half, I don't know if it was a cramp or what, but he couldn't guard anyone, and was really hurting us, and Texas knew it. they should have fouled him honestly. This is not an anti Rob thing, the kid was injured and he needed to be taken out. It really was obvious at the game, I have no idea what was going on there. He even came back in after a timeout. It was crazy to watch in real time.

-I have no idea what that T was for, the Texas announcer was horiffic, half the time he just didn't announce anything.

-the game was officiated very very different from 1H to the 2H.

-the game really should not have been nearly as close as it was, we have by far and away a better team, but a great road win either way.

-we are not very good in the half court with a lead, it is what it is right now. the first half was about as good as a half as I can remember for any Iowa State team, simply awesome. the 2h, ehhhhh.....but it was enough!!!!

The ball movement stopped for various lengthy periods in the 2nd half by trying to drain clock, thus resulting in forced late shot clock shots. The lack of consistent scoring and lowering shot % was noticeable. Reoccuring trend, along with poor FT shooting. I wonder when BRE got hurt then, because he missed 4 straight bunnies near the basket that hurt momentum and allowed Texas to enclose on the lead. He should have been taken out sooner.

Also, why feel sorry for Tyrese? He made a grownup choice, retaliated to our team and fanbase, so he can live with it. I don't wish him ill will, but that's part of growing up is understanding and knowing choices you've made. We all make mistakes and irrational decisions that may not be the best for our lives, he's no different. I wonder if it'd be any different had the coaching issues not appeared or happened, if things would be any different? But its Texas, I couldn't care any less. They can enjoy their trip to the SEC where they'll still underperform and expect more. Good riddance Texas, you're sawft and will experience it differently in the SEC. You'll know how good you had it sooner or later.

Also find it interesting someone else said they were treated very well in Austin at games and out. That's good to hear, although of course their Faculty, AD, and certain minority based online fans, make them unbearable to listen to.

Those aren't really video boards. Just movable panels (with projections) that hide another 5,000 seats that they can sell for concerts.

I look at how Gilbert and Jones are able to still handle the ball a lot even with Lipsey on the floor and think they might of found a way to make it work. I doubt Lipsey gets the minutes he got last year with Hunter still here though so he very well could.have only been a backup and not the starter like he got basically by default with Hunter leaving and the injury to Williams.
