For sure....he's so confident/calm.
I imagine with each game he will continue to drive on defenders for layups....by JR/SR year it'll be at will.
Hunter started off the season on fire, but has been mediocre to bad the last 6-7 games.
He was shooting over 50% overall and 40+ % from 3pts. Some on this board believed he could keep that up for an entire season. Hunter does many things well but he is a below average shooter.

Big 12 opponents are going to hate playing Tamin. He’s going to be that guy who seems like he’s been there forever and is a major pain in the ass. If you like a “pure” point guard he’s it. I love the kid.
Another big game by Lipsey!! Love what he brings to the court. He was really funny on his post game interview with JW said something to the effect of "It got so loud that it got quiet." He meant it in a good way like the volume went to 100 then his brain just tuned it out
People forget he was a 5 star before his injury. I remember last year people on here telling me he was not athletic and 5’9”. So freaking excited to watch him and Biliew on the same team.

Lipsey will end up an All-American as an upperclassmen at Iowa State. I truly believe that. Was thinking of some of the most impactful college point guards who never lit up the scoring column and think Lipsey fits in that mold. Just an absolute winner and floor general. Keep recruiting and surrounding him with elite scorers.

Some people thought I was crazy when I said I would rather have Lipsey as PG than Hunter
Totally forgot he was a 5-star. He’s definitely showing that he was still worthy of it.
We don’t have to denigrate Hunter to praise what we have in Lipsey
He was a ranked highly before his injury because he was a 6’1” freshman with PG skills. It was more about projecting that he might end up growing and be a big guy with PG skills. He had shown by football the season following his injury he had recovered physically and then some.
I think the injury lost him some momentum, but I think he would’ve slipped anyway since there was probably a lot of expectation he wasn’t done growing.
Either way, worked out great. He is a hell of a true PG and leader.
Completely agree with you. I think a lot of people misinterpreted this as we would rather have Lipsey than Hunter. When the point is really that Lipsey has better PG skills than Hunter.
He will be a legend. Ames kid at ISU is great even if wasn’t as good as he is.
Ball control, ability to find the open man, facilitating the offense to other players, protecting the ball.
Saying Hunter is not a good shooter is not denigration. It’s a fact. And Hunter is a shoot first, facilitate second PG. So you will get brilliant games like our first round win over LSU, but you’ll also get his last 5 games for Texas.
