Haven't done this in a long time (since I played basketball), I figure since I'm on a diet already and seem to be stalling I need to throw some lifting in to the mix. Does anyone know any good weight lifting routines? I'm doing cardio about 3X a week for about 30 minutes (jogging). I'd really like to start losing again because I have been stalled at my current weight for about 2-3 weeks now.

Yes, go to the gym and pick up weights, then set them down again. Repeat.

Since you're lifting casually and not trying to build mass, I'd just do 3 sets of relatively high reps (8-12) of the main exercises that work multiple muscle groups to get more bang for your time. Bench, Pull-downs or Pull-Ups, Rows, Squats, Deadlifts, Military Press, etc. The leg stuff like deadlifts and squats are great, but they may affect your jogging, especially at first

Exactly, I'm trying to lift to burn fat and to make sure I'm not losing lean muscle mass. I'm thinking about lifting 2 times a week while running 3.

just do plyo type training.. Like squat jumps, lung's squats's. Also throw in some straight arm planks, pushups, situps, 2 leg press down, single leg press down etc.. No need for much weight.. on the squats you could add in some 10 pound weights if needed. Im a member at a gym were all the workouts are made up for you.. we hardley ever use weights! We use anything we can around town that can assist..

the best cardio is high intensity interval training or hiit. start off sprint as fast as you can for 1 minute then walk for 2 then sprint again then walk do that for 20 minutes and you'll losing body fat fast

I recommend giving Crossfit a try. CF provides a great combination of strength training, endurance workouts, and metabolic exercises. Workouts vary from day to day and can be as short as 5 minutes or as long as an hour. Can do them at home, with the right equipment, at the gym or at a CF facility. Daily workouts (WODs) are posted here: Welcome to CrossFit: Forging Elite Fitness

i think i need to start doing this. I don't mind running longer distances, but my lower back starts to hurt and i can't run through the pain.

This is what I do, though I rest for 5 minutes and jog for 2.

I forgot to mention curls, if you just do curls you will be golden!

But you have to do them while watching yourself in a mirror.
