The NBA is a business. The point of businesses is to make money. Money can then be exchanged for goods and services.
LeBron getting a reaction from eating some french fries? It got people talking, didn't it? It got you to start a thread? Maybe will get some people to go to or watch another game, which sells more tickets/ads? The NBA isn't around for the players' health - it's to make money, and stuff like this does exactly that. What does it hurt you? I don't care if it's LeBron or Ron Artest doing this - it's all about marketing a product.
