Lazard #1 WR in 2014

No, that isn't it.

He's rock solid and won't change. Do any of you realize that if he wasn't solid with ISU, he wouldn't have committed as early as he did? His dad played here, his brother is on the team. He lives 35 minutes away.

Check his twitter feed out sometime. He tweets with guys on the football and basketball team. Constantly talks about ISU.

If that isn't enough to convince you, nothing will be and you should just keep it to yourself.

I've never been married, but I feel it's like if you and your spouse each have your "list". Lazard is totally committed, but he's gonna let Kate Beckingsale, Olivia Wilde, and whoever else is on his list take a run at him.

I see it as a real commitment, but these places he is going to visit are going to be very, very, enticing.

Playing this drinking game next year!

Not to bring up a sore subject, but HB's dad played at ISU, his mom worked at ISU, and he hung out with all the guys on the team. We need to keep recruiting Allen every bit as hard even though he has a verbal to us.

Call someone with power then. Posting this on the message board does nothing but get everyone ****** at you. Doesn't do me any good to start recruiting the kid, when for 1, it's against NCAA and 2, we probably have a staff full of guys that realized this a few weeks ago (yeah, I put weeks to emphasize the absurdity). You should contact someone who can actually do something, as I'm sure Rhoads has assumed this guy was in our back pocket from day 1.

HB, different story, ****** coach leaving for another school who couldn't even recruit his own kid here, vs. a team and a coach with a huge upside. If the HB situation were tomorrow, I have a feeling that it would play out a little differently.

I don't even know what you're trying to say here.

New rankings came out today...still stayed as a 4 star. Thought he would be one of the 4 people who moved up...

Your list of 2 is outstanding.

What makes you think they aren't? Hello?

Besides, there are a few things wrong with your parallel. Not least, the fact that Harrison never committed to ISU.

New article on the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge. The upcoming challenge will be held from June 7 - June 9 in Chicago. The article is on the WRs/TEs that will attend. Take a look! Allen Lazard is listed as "The Headliner." The video at the top of the article is also all highlights from Lazard at a previous Rivals camp. I always forget how big and athletic he is. He is going to be a match-up problem to almost all DBs that have to face him. I can't wait to see him in cardinal and gold!!

Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge: WRs/TEs May 29, 2012

THE HEADLINER
"The four-star Lazard held onto the No. 1 ranking at the wide receiver position after a strong performance at the St. Louis Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour in April. Lazard measured in at 6-4.5 and 204 pounds, and his athleticism at that size is rare. A great leaper with outstanding body control, the Iowa State commit is an attractive downfield and red zone target. He possesses one of the softest pairs of hands in the country, and he is a technically sound pass catcher. The question on Lazard has been his top-end speed. He has shown quickness off the line of scrimmage and in and out of his breaks, but whether he can consistently get separation from the nation's top defensive backs will be watched closely in Chicago."

Who ever was throwing the ball to him needs to maybe not suck so much. That said, Allen's route running seems about as legit as you could hope for.

Watching the video it looked as if the DB's had to get aggressive to try and make a play on him. That is when his route running made them look stupid. Very excite.

Wait, his shoes are neon green, which could only mean one thing.... :jimlad:

He looked great in that video. Can't wait to watch him next year.

O God, please let us have someone who can throw a decent football. We promise to worship you if we can complete a decent pass. Amen.

The dude is already better than every WR on our roster. No offense Bundrage. I still like you.
Easy...
I think Bundrage is fantastic but I am betting Lazard by year two at ISU will be a downright monster to defend. Combo that with Bundrage and Daley and we could be a very dangerous team.

If he is a great "leaper" but "lacks top end speed" it is likely he just hasnt directly devoted time to developing it. Does Allen run track?
