Laugh with Norm McDonald...

I seriously think he was the funniest guy ever. This is what's great about the youtube era. Those random late night talk show moments used to be never seen again after they aired in the middle of the night, but now you can view them on demand non-stop to see what a comedic genius he actually was.

Amazing. Even his pauses are funny. I'm not sure what time this one was, my guess is about 10-12 years ago. I only knew today that he struggled with some form of cancer for nine years. He wanted to keep it all private.

I taught my son “whats today? October?” awhile back. That joke will never be the same. Rip Norm.

A favorite aspect of him was how he was so unapologetic about his bad acting which is what made it work.

I listen to Norm stuff probably monthly. Here’s one I found recently that you all will appreciate.

Also Maron posted his podcast interview on Twitter if anyone wants to go and listen.
RIP Legend Norm MacDonald

Back when Comedy Central would play comedy specials and have entire nights of 30 minute segments I would catch this occasionally.

The bad acting and awkward transitions just nail it.

I was depressed last night/this AM thinking about Norm and what a special person and comic he was. This bit was classic Norm when pretty young, probably before SNL. Just amazing stuff and delivery!

Dream, in the pool with Christie Brinkley...playing pool with David Brinkley...LOL. I'm so bummed that he's gone now.

Great Norm spot here. Bad jokes that are great, and him even flipping through the cards is kind of an umbrella, followed by a genuine tribute. he did similar on Letterman's last show.

Some good tributes out there from Sandler, etc. too.

I think the genius of Norm was watching him tell a joke and having legitimately no clue if he had prepared the joke or if he literally was making it up as he went. I've watched many of these clips and I'm still not sure on some of them if it's ad-libbed or not.

It's like he had an end point/punchline he wants to hit but he DGAF about how he gets there.
