Last movie seen

"Australia," with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman. Serious historical story in WW II Australia. Great wide scenes and good message. Saw it yesterday and love it.

If you watch Wanted as just a cool action flick you'll like it a lot better, don't expect anything to be real to life, it's almost like a subdued superhero movie.

Haven't seen it, but sounds about as believable and annoying as Shoot 'em Up.

Wanted isn't awful, it has some good parts to it, it just pissed me off when they kept falling back to the old "flipping the car over and shooting someone while flipping over their car, and then landing your car on its tires trick" whenever they were in trouble.

The first time it happened, I thought it was kinda cool. The 2nd time, I thought they were really reaching. The 3rd time, I realized they were just excited about their new special effect and kept using it because it was easier than actually writing something original for that part.

In the theater, W. Try to go into it without preconceived notions (difficult, no doubt) and you might just like it regardless of your political views.

On DVD, Pink Floyd: The Wall. Love the music, love the idea, but it was just a bit too weird for me.

I bought Almost Famous at Walmart for $5. It was pretty good. Last movie I went to the theater for was the Simpson's Movie - Yeah, I don't get out much. And I'm not a big movie buff anyway.

Almost Famous is a great flick! That is one that that I will stop and watch if I see it as I flip through the channels...

Anything Kevin Smith and Cameron Crowe gets me.
"That kid is back on the escalator again!"

I say that line everytime my wife drags me to the mall and we see a kid on the escalator. I was soooo excited for her to see the movie for this very reason and she didn't get it. I still laughed. Hard.

I finally saw the Dark Knight this past week. Wow!!! Crazy good!!!

The movie lost me when the guy with the burned face still functioned. I couldn't take it after that. Not to mention that he refused pain meds. What a stud.

Pineapple Express - 10/10 Absolutely love this movie. Very funny, good action sequences, and Gary Cole as a drug lord is just too funny. My only complaint is that they never really tie up the girlfriend situation for Dale.
