Kyle Washington

What wrong about that statement? He fell out of their rotation.

He didn't fall out of the rotation he played in the last 7 games. There was rumors of him transferring out before the season was over. I have no clue why his minutes went down and why he didn't play in two games but he will be highly sought after and I'd prefer him over Tillman

Once he left the starting lineup he had 3 games with 10+ minutes and two DNPs. Also averaged 13.8 minutes per game during that span. For comparison, Edozie played 9.3 MPG (for the whole year though)

Matt averaged 11 mpg the last 6 games of the season, that doesn't mean he ever fell out of the rotation. Edozie only played in 16 games so his mpg doesn't really mean anything

heh. kinda funny:

If you don't know, Jason is Brewster's head coach. Where Kyle Washington attended prep school.

I'd be happy with either Tillman or Washington. Either would be a good piece of the 16-17 roster, but wouldn't be a big deterrent to getting a HS or JuCo stud.

Tillman is staying at VCU. I'd welcome Washington with open arms

Again: he only had THREE games where he had more than 10 minutes played. Two of those came sandwiched between DNPs. In the final 7 games he had just one game with 10 minutes. In those final 7 games you were talking about: he played 5 minutes per game. He fell off. End of story.

now I'm not saying he's bad, just defending a correct statement. I was not impressed with his game at NCSU, but he could still play here.

Scored double figures in games against Purdue, Georgia Tech, Boston College, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Louisville and Virginia (a couple others). I'd be more than fine with him.

It is too bad he has to redshirt next year, he would play a lot and likely would surpass his NCSt numbers in Hoiball.

You would think he would have interest in ISU. He will be assured 30+ minutes a game and fits Hoiball well.

I like him a lot. Sit out a year, gets more offensive freedom, he will be great in our offense. I don't buy the "he didn't produce at NC state" line at all.

Article re: Washington's game at NC State. Sounds like a great scorer but mentions some shortcomings, which I assume are defense related.

And, sounds like he lost PT due to lack of defense & rebounding:

Evaluation from high school:

http://www.buckys5thquarter.com/2011/6/20/2231918/washington-reclassifies-picks-up-badger-offer

"He uses great fundamentals in everything he does and works very hard. He has great touch within 10-15 feet and is capable of hitting the three pointer if he is left open. Defensively he does a good job of getting low in his stance and doesn't let anything come easy for the offense. Washington needs to get stronger and continue to refine his skills and post moves, but if the way he plays is any indication of how hard he works behind the scenes, he should be a very good player."
