The Hawk fan board op beat Sean to the punch. So on brand.
I wasn't listening, but i can hear her say that...then Sean usually respectfully gives accurate information....then she patronizes him.
I feel she always hops in with a "hot" take (that usually is something that could be a rumor on twitter, etc) and then defends it. Sean generally knows his stuff and often seems to tip toe around not making her look silly with her incorrect information. The Hawk fan board op beat Sean to the punch.
He was talking about the Big 12 as a collective in that regard. He also kept referring to "Big 12 officials" which isn't a thing....
I wouldn't be shocked if Travis said he didn't even watch sports. How does this “Travis” get paid to talk college basketball and he clearly hasn’t watched the ncaa tournament in decades? Does he work for free?
My hot football take is the SEC teams will all lose. Where can I pick up my check?

She’s such a moron. How can she still be on the radio.
Been saying it for years, the market deserves better. Afternoon drive time should be the biggest spot and we get these complete dolts.I felt bad for her when Miller left her high and dry but man, I can't say I blame him now.
Isn't this her only job?Been saying it for years, the market deserves better. Afternoon drive time should be the biggest spot and we get these complete dolts.
Apparently she is or was trying to be a realtor at one point as well. Don't know. I literally stopped listening a long while back. Once in a great while it is on by accident and as soon as I hear her voice or that other tool on the show turn the channel before I turn the wheel into a ******* bridge abutment.Isn't this her only job?
I sometimes give Ross and Travis a pass since they technically have "day jobs".
As far as I know she doesn't do anything else outside of radio. No excuse to not know the local programs inside and out.
Good defense in the tournament is a necessity for a deep run. Look at Fred's teams lack of defenseDo people have any data/evidence to back up this hypothesis? Common sense tells me that the TV networks airing these games actually want there to be less fouls called. Nobody wants to watch a free throw shooting contest with zero flow. I have to think that message gets sent to the officials working these games.
I mean at this point I think I’d prefer Heather Locklear.Been saying it for years, the market deserves better. Afternoon drive time should be the biggest spot and we get these complete dolts.

Their 20 minute segments consist of things like "when we come back, Sean got a new sweater yesterday. We talk about it.". Seriously. That is a real thing that happened.Afternoon drivetime radio everywhere is a bunch of different 20-minute spurts, so its never going to be super heavy-hitting with game analysis. Its mid-day shows and podcasts that can get more in-depth about teams, plays, coaching styles, recruiting strategy, etc.
I am not really worried about the physical play of the Big 12 and how it translates to winning in the tournament. The conference has done very well in the tournament. Also, I get the comparison to Press Virginia, but the reality is we do not foul near as much as they did, and they still had success in the tournament.

For comparison purposes, Iowa State currently averages 16.6 fouls per game, ranking around 160th in the nation. It's not an area of strength for us, but it's not close to as big of an area of weakness some make it out to be.
I hate the WV comparison. Peak Huggins ball was when they ran all of their full court traps and they would just mug the ball handler. We do all of our damage in the half court set and our pressure defense really speeds teams up. I feel like we actually do a really good job defending without fouling. A lot of our fouls occur when our double teams break down and we are scrambling back to the weak side. We aren't nearly as handsy as Houston was last night. That will get you in trouble with the wrong crew.
